Hi all,
Okay, another dumb question from a nubee- are the super soft tires that last 7k miles or less really needed for everyday driving? I'm primed ready to buy a NSX but I'm concerned about the cost of ownership. I will be using the car as a daily driver (almost) with some (very little) mountain driving. I'm not an aggressive drive. Buying the car mostly for looks. So, do I really need tires that last only 7k miles? Thanks for you .02.

Its not the tires as much as the toe settings on your susp. setup.Do a search and you'll find lots of bandwith on this topic.

If you are buying the car more for show than go, you can definitely put a longer wearing tire on it. And as docjohn said, reduce your toe settings front and rear for even better wear. You will lower the limits of the car, but if you're not one to drive it hard you'll never miss it because the limits are really high to start with.

Hey Chris,The thanx for my avitar go to Lud.I,m a computer putz and am still trying to figure out how Ken puts the smile icons in the text.Anyway its nice to see your car and bussiness progress.I,m also glad i met some of the bay area folks to put faces with sigs.Good luck with your S2000 line,it will take awhile for that comunity to assimilate SOS as they are larger and contain many more cells, so to speak.

When you go to type a reply to a post on NSXprime, to the left of the box where you enter your reply, you will see the words "Smilies Legend". Click on those words and you will get complete instructions for all the smilies that are included in NSXprime.
