AP-X NSX turbo system (angus turbo kit)

I'm currently debating about getting a turbo kit for my car.... question and maybe you've answered this in the 34 pages.... do you offer installation? If so how much? I used to live in vancouver and it would be a great excuse for a trip back to visit friends.

Got a ride in an AP-X turbo today. All I can say is WOW! That thing is awesome! Feels totally different than a competch. CTSC feels like a V8, AP-X feels like a V6 turbo. TQ comes on hard and keeps coming. Very sweet. Felt stronger than my BBSC -- same HP, 40 more TQ.

The only downside I found was the smell. With Cats it would be perfect.

After I met up with Netviper I went out and beat on the car for the rest of the day and had a blast. I'm very pleased with the kit at this point. Any of the issues have been small and mostly me just being picky or wanting more gadgets for my toy.

If I was going to take my car road course racing there would be a lot of things I'd upgrade on the car as well as on the turbo kit. But besides bench bragging rights those things are a waste of money on a street car.

For this price point it is a great kit for a street car. You could always do more (air/water intercooler, custom headers, GT40R turbo) but do those things make a big difference on a street car at 400 ish hp? No they don't, you can't take advantage of those until you bulid the motor then you start down that slope that takes the car to being ungodly fast but a pain in your ass and not as fun, but Wil will do those things for you no problem. It's just money right?

I forgot to mention we raced from a stop light in the middle of nowhere. "You got smoked" - said my wife. :)

I stopped at 80MPH, I think Myaddiction might have broke the sound barrier....

I do offer install at my faclity. It usually takes 2-3 days to complete and another few hours for dyno.

Here is an approximate quote:

-$6795 turbo kit (includes BOV, FIC, injectors, Boomslang harness)

- $400 or so for gauges

- $300 Gauge install

- $100 Gauge pod

- $1000 turbo kit install

- $80 Oil Change

- $400 for tuning

- Grand total $9075

Thats not bad.... where do the gauges mount? Pillar or the JDM nav pod or other?

Hey Wil,

Tried to call you today wondering what the progress of my kit is. I've been waiting pretty patiently for it (for longer than the wait time you told me), but now I'm started to get bothered.

Please return my call,

Steve

I told you last week that your kit was going out today, and it did - I emailed you the tracking.

Thanks,

Wil

The waiting sucks, doesn't it? Let us know how it goes.

I hope no one misunderstands my previous post. I had called Wil earlier that morning and he didn't pick up, so I figured he was busy. Instead of emailing him, I just put up a post and just figured, he'd see it when he saw it.

At any rate, I got my kit today, well 2/3's of it. The welds look spectacular, and everything is of good quality! So just waiting (some more) for the turbo and other misc parts!

Wil has definitely taken care of everything, though albeit longer than I expected, but you can't rush quality can ya?

Anyway, so I'll be installing the turbo sometime next week (hopefully soon!) and have my tuner come by and do the base for it, make sure everything is A-Ok, and I'll definitely post some results!

Thanks again Wil!

Hey thanks Steven, I would love to see your dyno sheet!

Ah so after a frustrating weekend at the track (actually on the ride back), I broke my diff in my S2000.

However, the rest of my turbo kit showed up today so my spirit's are lifted up a bit.

Install going on today, I hope i can figure it out seeing as there aren't any instructions lol.

Car is already on the lift, and the exhaust is coming off as I type this!

While I didn't install mine myself, I did go through this whole thread and save all the photos. That made it a lot easier to understand where everything goes before even seeing any of the parts.

Sounds like instructions would be a good addition to the kit. If I were installing it, I personally wouldn't have a clue what to do. :)

Instructions would certainly cut down on the head scratching. I have installed about 3/4 of the kit working at a medium pace alone over the last 2 weekends.

I have not run into any issues and the fit is outstanding! My hardest part was removing the old stock exhaust, headers and installing new. Installing the kit by myself is very rewarding. I have a series of install pix that I can forward to anyone here that is pretty self explanatory.

Cozmo, if you could somehow reupload those in a neat simple package it'd definitely help out.

I need to figure out how the oiling system goes together and the IC piping.

So far I got the bracket, y-pipe, and turbo on. Just need to figure out oiling system, how to tap the pan and the IC routing and we should be good to go!

Wow, this must be some kind of record. Turbo shows up in the box at 11:45am and the car is running by dark!

Shoot if it wasn't for you it wouldn't be done. Boost comes on a bit late, but when it does, man she's a screamer!

But it could be cause my AEM still has my Gruppe-M SC tune, I see my WB going to 10:1 before it's anywhere close to boost lol

That only took him a little longer than it would take me to do!!!

Good work Steven.

I hope this shows how EASY my kit is to install.

Not to worry Brian, you are on the right track - your install seems to be going smoothly and we are here to help.

Man you guys are lucky.

Wil, has anyone done a turbo with cats yet?

I passed one through emissions testing here, I could easily include cats if you wanted.
