Anyone know this 2002 NSX? jh4na21622t000020

Re: Anyone know this 2002 NSX?

that NA1 shiftknob looks odd, seems like a wholesaler who picked it up at the auction. I wonder if he even changed the oil:biggrin:

Re: Anyone know this 2002 NSX?

How do cars like these end up at auctions anyway...part of me would never purchase from "some" used car lot...

thats how I feel, but I work for a franchised dealer so Im biased:biggrin:

I inquired about the car a few weeks ago....he sent me pics which looked nothing like the ones online. First problem is he wouldn't let me do a PPI, he claims he's too busy but that I could come look at the car. The deal killer in my mind instantly was the detailed pics - pics tell a different story! The carpet inside the car is ruined, it looked like coffee or something else was poured EVERYWHERE on the carpet plus stains on the center armrest. Driver's speakcover is torn.....and this one really puzzled me....the tool set in the trunk was COMPLETELY rusted out???? Either the trunk was left open and water got in there or....this could be a flood car? I'd be careful and definitely look at this car in person, if possible bringing a mechanic before parting with your cash.

Looks like it was registered in MA entire time before it was sold at an auction.

Re: Anyone know this 2002 NSX?

Re-read my post, the tool set was rusted, not the trunk. The airpump and jack had rust on them, a lot of rust. Seemed really odd being that my 17yr old NSX tool set is perfect and this 5yr old one looked like it had been sitting in a bucket of water.

I didn't realize aluminum would rust?

I have seen that car for sale for a very long time (t least that picture). The price just keep on dropping. Even at that price, you can find a clean low mile early NA2. Probably a better way to go unless you must have a 02 spec car.

What's with the two things beside the shift pattern plaque? I guess the red one is for a aftermarket alarm not sure what the other one is. I would have picked a better location then there.

Looks like somebody bought it!

The one on the right is the VTech button...........

to mute your phone.

This is a MA car, it was obviously driven everyday. The engine is excellent gear box is excellent. It has minor waer and tear. And everything lines up the way it should. I have seen the car and driven it  it is nice. love the engine right behined me. the dealer has pictures galore, if anyone needs them. Some people have been posting coments its not a good car. I think they are wrong. MA has a lot of salt and snow, it shows that in some areas. The carpet is a little bit dirty, but clean. has 2 rips in the carpet, you can hardly see them. The dealer found out that people are posting stupid comments about the car. So they changed come pictures to show that it is a very decent car. Yes the tools in the trunk have some salt residue not ryst rust is orange not white. just look at the pictures or better yet go look at the car.

yes it is, i hate people talk who talk BS for no reason. I recomend people to come and take a look at the car and proof me wrong. This is an excellent car inspected by two different techs before I bought it. Dont take my word come take a look.

How about letting an Acura dealer do a PPI(Yes Acura).I know it was mentioned early on in this thread that it was declined because you were too busy.I think this would be a great way for you to justify the shape of this car thus opening up a definate sale, even if you paid for it out of your own pocket. At which point you would get that amount and a bit more,to say the least a fast sale.Only makes sense,IMO .
Yes I am a potential buyer of a newer style NSX but without having the right people confirm the car's condition,I wouldn't even consider it.Not saying you are not a reputable shop but let's face it,even at that price it isn't chump change. The problem is there are too many ready to take advantage of others and this is one of the things that a consumer needs is "The confidence" when spending a serious amount of cash, not only for what you see but also what may be an under-lying problem down the road. It's these things that can turn a great deal into a complete "Money Pit".
Again,I just want to say I have nothing against you or your company just trying to help you understand what we(the consumer) are thinking!

It would have probably been better to state you were the dealer in your first post rather then implying you are a third party. :2cents:
