Anyone got the Getaway in Stockholm 4 DVD yet?
It's available on their website.

I want to know how much and good is the NSX footage before i splash the cash. :D
 
I ordered mine on Monday, so I'll post a review when I get it.
 
I received mine today !

I didn't have time to watch it entirely (over 160min of fun) but it looks like there is a lots of NSX content !

In the extra features you can choose to watch the entire movie from inside the NSX (NSX front cam, inside cam, hat cam) or inside the C5.

The "Gateway Babes" bonus clip seems interesting as well ! :)

When did you order yours ? I ordered mine the 15th of October.
 
The status for my order says mine was shipped out on 10/23, but have yet to receive it here in Baltimore as of 11/14.
 
Finally got mine today, 11/15. This one is definitely better than GiS 3. The NSX and the C5 race back and forth throughout the whole video. You can clearly see the NSX handles much better than the Corvette as they snake through turns. Both engines are miked up really good. The Corvette almost gets crunched by a bus. They play a lot of games with the cops in this one too.

BTW - the GiS Babes chapter is super hot, european style. i.e. rated R.
 
There is not too much footage of the NSX in the bonus clips. It's in the getaway, but not much more. (I've seen a dvd rip of the Gis4, so I might have missed something.)

* I didn't think the new film was that much better than number 3. More cops, a little playing with the cops (doing some burnouts while waiting for them to catch up.)
* Babes are hot, but you shoule get other xxx dvd's if that's what makes gis4 good.
* It has a review of a huge pick-up, but no NSX:-(
* It has a nice review of a 360 modena and BMW M5.
* Bonus clips are ok, but too random and little comments.
* If the NSX was not in any of these movies I'd never buy them.

I'd give it 5/10.
Buy some Best motoring videos instead.

The getaway chase between the X and C5 is about 20 mins. There is also a street race between the two included in the bonus chapters. Your have to check out the video to see who wins (its super close). There's probably about another hour of miscellaneous racing footage with other cars.

I'm sure Neo would have fun with a screen cap of the GiS babe that has her bare ass pressed against the NSX during a night shoot. The other GiS babe slinks around the Corvette. Nice addition to the video this year.

:eek: I not sure I'd find that fun. GiS4 is sounding more and more like a cheap porn flick with fast cars. :( I'm having second thoughts about parting with my money.

I just want NSX action. Is that too much to ask? :rolleyes:

Well, the actual getaway is ok and really what you pay for (20 min. pluss some bonus) They've just packed the rest of the DVD with lot's of "garbage" or "bonus footage" with no particular meaning, i.e the girls, random shots from street races, drag events, stunt events, strip shows, track days.

These bonus shots are fun to watch, but they're not better than any flick you find on the internet shot by amateurs with handycams. They just put it on a dvd for you, and make you pay a lot for it.

Some day the getaway will be a disaster.....they play with their own and other peoples lifes. I will not support that by buying the DVD.
 
I downloaded this cover of the net... very disappointed.
I wouldn't want this on my shelf.
skimpy ladies is no substitute for rubber on the road. :(

The girls are just a small part of the DVD. I don't see why guys wouldn't like a little spice mixed in. Especially given the number of views on Terry's thread. But to each his own.
 
<B>NSXROX</B>: A small part? From what i've read above they fill in a lot of the DVD. Having the pix of them on the cover makes me wonder if they'd be better off re-titling it to "<B>Getoff in Stockholm</B>". :rolleyes:

If they had Terry's girls on the DVD's, they'd quadruple their sales... that would be a quality endorsement. :D I know Blue Knight would buy two copies! :D
 
I watched a DVD rip of it yesterday. It is no where near as good as 3. 3 had multiple camera angles, a lot of incar action.. and was well planned out.

This one is lame. They strap 2 cameras on the vette and 2 on the NSX. Then you watch the SAME footage 4 times. No fancy endings..etc. Just driving around for 10 minutes. I was pretty dissapointed.

I thought this NSX had a SC on it? I couldn't tell if it did. Looked stock in performance. The vette is all over the road in the turns.
