I think this is a great idea, but I'd prefer to wrap vs. paint so I can reverse it if I so desire.

i think ill get CF wrap for mine sometime during the spring
I've had the bar painted since the '90s.

Since I've converted this particular car to the widebody, the new bumper eliminated the whole bar.
The first thing I did when I got the silver one was to paint the bar black.

wrap with material... $150 ish... i forgot
Did mine today. Took 25 mins. Less than $5 for materials.
