Has anyone cut open their stock 91 or so muffler to see what was inside and how it was configured?
And if so, did you make any modifications and then weld her back up?
Post pictures if you have them!

I did it along time ago to link the inlet & outlets with straight pipe. But when i opened it up it was chambered, kinda like a flowmaster but optimized for maximum sound absorption, NOT flow. It was too much work to do what i wanted so i just puched a bunch of holes in the walls, and welded it back up. Make it a little more throaty, but didnt change it to terribly much.

PS i was bored and i'm skilled with a TIG welder, LOL!

May i ask why you ask?

Same as you Ray

Just thinking along the same lines as you Ray!
Alter it and weld her back up!

Now that i think about it for the amount of time it took me to pull it off, and cut it apart, i should have just installed one of those dual in/dual out flowmaster cans, and still have a stock looking exhaust (which was my purpose back then)

I think you can pick those up on summitracing.com or jegs.com for like $90ish dollars, or you can spend a little over $120 and get a stainless steel magnaflow version of it.
