I'll be at the BMW driving school this week end at CMP (Kershaw, SC) for my 1st track event in my NSX. Anyone from around the SE going there ?

Just back from CMP

a one world summary of the week end would be:
"WOW!"

for more details, keep on reading... :)
1st timer at that track and 1st timer in an NSX at a track, I was surprisingly happy to discover how nice an NSX can handle at any speed, any surface. It is not a car for the novice, but with a limited experience, it can be lots of fun. On saturday it was a great sunny day. I found out that running 33 front and 38 psi at the rears is what worked best for me that day. On sunday, it was a different story as the morning the track was wet. I run KUHMO ECSTA 712 in stock 15/16 sizes and these tires are not very good in the dry, and are terrible in the wet. It was like walking on eggs all morning. At the exit of a turn, I lost my focus on finishing to execute the process of taking a turn (I was already focusing on the next corner), when just a bit of throttle too much exiting that corner sent me spinning 270* (still managed to stay on the track). Well, the only one hurt was my ego for not being more carefull. Besides this, the NSX handles very well, executing everything I wanted it to do. Very stable at higher speeds (110 max in 3rd gear on the dry was top speed at around 7400 rpm), even during hard braking from those speeds. ABS was coming way too early IMHO, and talking about brakes, the rear driver side rotor started squeaking a bit going forward and "playing violin" whenever in reverse. The front ones seem to have warped in the mean time, as vibrations occur when I hit the brake pedal hard (not noticeable when coming to a stop normally). I'll need to have all the brakes pads/rotors checked out sometime this week. I still have a lot of pads left (rotors+pads had 6000 highway miles before the track event), but one is squeaking and the front ones may be warped
During the week end, I could pay attention at the braking points of the other students, and it seemed I needed to start stopping earlier. My instructor said the brakes/tires could be better. I'm thinking to upgrade to bigger rotors, but that will require larger wheels too :( . Anyone with a stocker has any good advice ? nsxtasy ?

thank you for your help

Here are the pictures from the pads from the squeaking wheel.
