Hello and any advice will be much appreciated.

I want to remove the front windshield plastic black cowling so that i can remove the wiper motor. I already removed the black rubber stripping and those plastic retainers. The cowling is stubborn and appears to be anchored with more fasteners under the windshield.

Project will be deleted if I have to remove the windshield. Any help or advice please.

Do a search on the STMPO FSTB. Someone did a write up on removing that piece. The trick is to use either popsicle sticks or plastic knife, lift the top of the cowl, slide the stick down between the cowl and glass to depress individual retainer clips. Glass does not have to come out (thank God.)

thanks, and I got it done. No tools needed. Just slide the the black trim, from the bottom the windshield, forward (parallel to the glass), then lift up away from the windshield. These yellow tabs are spring loaded, thus sliding them forwarded disengages them from the rail.
