any past or current Karmann Ghia owner's here?

I'm looking to buy a 50's early 60's karmann ghia to compliment my NSX. Just a fun vintage cruiser convertible with a 2 litre motor and 48 weber carbs. Anyone kind enough to share their experience with me of driving and ownership. Thanks in advance

I owned (restored) one with my father when I was in High School. Mine was a 67, which does have some minor differences to the years you are considering. It is a really fun little car, and cheap to fix. I would likely still have mine had a 4 Runner not rear ended me, totalling it.
