I'm up in NC but might be willing to come down to shoot the breeze.

There are a lot of NSXers in Atlanta, but some of them do not check this site on a regular basis.
Normally everyone gets together during NOPI in September, and get all the food, show, driving, and catch-up all in one shot. This include a lot of NSXs from other south east region. Check the link HERE for last year's event and pictures.
I am sure there are other gatherings throughout the year hosted by other members, I wouldn't mind more of those meetings myself :biggrin:

Ahh finally some peeps have spoken. I should retract my earlier statement about there not being any nsxers in atlanta. Rather I had heard there arent very many "active" nsxers in the area.
Regardless its nice to hear from everyone. I deffinetly think we should put together a meet sometime soon. Preferably not to soon though as my AEM has been sent back to have a resistor swapped out.
Any suggestions on times places etc that work for everyone? Being new to the community and atlanta in general I am not sure where people go to meet etc.

I'm up for a get together, depending on when it is. The ATL group is always active, but all very busy - it's just rare that we're all together at the same time.

It's about time for the NSXNut to organize a Chin dinner again (hint hint...). I believe there's money in the budget for it. Last time we had over a dozen cars...

I spoke with nsxNut about 2 weeks ago. I think hes really busy right now. He says nothing on the books anytime soon.
OK, comrades in the ATL, I'll dig out of my sand trap :wink: and proclaim:
I am no longer a restaurant owner, and am completely open to ideas for a location, date, time. In the past, Saturday or Sunday evenings have worked. Let's have suggestions on a place to gather. Ideal locations have large, free parking (kinda rules out downtown/midtown), and maybe outdoor/patio seating, overlooking the parking lot. Most ATL owners are spread around the northern suburbs, from I-85 to I-75, as far as location. And, we have seen out of state owners from Tennessee and the Carolinas attend, so the north side is most convenient. Some facts for planning purposes: typically, after appropriate notice to all, and giving ample time to plan (say, 2 weeks), we end up with attendance of 20-25 guests and 12-20 cars, and a meet at a restaurant will last about 3 hours. Hell, everybody stays in the parking lot for the first 30 minutes!

I'm taking the NSX up north on the Auto Train on July 17th to catch Iron Maiden at Ozzfest in Camden/Philly on the 19th. I plan on driving back to South Florida via Skyline Drive/Blue Ridge Parkway with a stop to drive The Dragon and The Cherohala Skyway. I should be within striking distance of Atlanta on July 23rd.

A race at Road Atlanta the weekend of July 22nd,
And instructing with Chin at Barber Aug 6-7th.
The weekends of the 15th or the 29th are open for me.

Maybe we can meet at Road Atlanta on Saturday evening after my race, the upper parking lot is large and free. A large sports restaurant/bar opened up near Chateau élan and Road Atlanta (Nice area), they have outdoor seating and big TV’s with Speed channel… but I’m not too sure about the parking (Especially on the weekend). Oh they have great baby back ribs.

I am here in Atlanta and I am up for some fun! I am currently attending the 2005 AKARally (Cannonball Run) and now we are in Key West. I will be back in Atlanta July 5th. I look forwad to seeing everyone.
I am open for the last two weekends of july for getting together or some time the early part of august.
As far as location goes there are quite a few restraunts with adequate parking up in the kennesaw area around barret pkwy.

If we do meet near Road Atlanta, I can drive my racecar to the event.
Depending on the amount of people, we could barbeque at my home. I have parking for 20 or 30 cars, but that many might be hard to feed.

Well it looks like this thread needs a jumpstart again. So looking over everyones replies i think the primary cocern is scheduling. So I have listed some dates below. Everyone respond with your first and second choice and we will see where we stand.
