Another reason why I hate Ebay....

This auction obviously is fraudulent base upon the "buy it now" price of $6500. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Acur...oryZ5337QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem I reported it first thing yesterday and received a confirmation email and yet the auction is still listed. I even contacted Paul Herman Motorcars because those photos were taken at their premises and yet this 3 day auction remains listed 24 hours later.

I realize they are busy at Ebay but it is very frustrating to see such things become more and more prevalent and Ebay taking longer and longer to protect potential buyers. I just wish they had a similar method of scrutinizing such listings before they "go live" such as the Moderators do here on Prime to at least make the effort to confirm enough information to determine legitimacy of the transaction.

And now back to your regular programming......

Looks like an innocent typo to me - I would imagine $65,000 was likely intended.

I doubt it considering the seller is a new ID on Ebay and there is a lack of pertinent identifying information regarding the seller. Plus, the photos are lifted from the Paul Herman Motorcars website.

EDIT: Just spoke with Paul Herman and confirmed that it is their car and that this auction is fraudulent.

Sorry - I misunderstood - I thought that this was Paul Herman.

Yes, there are other signs in there too - the spelling is poor (no crime in itslef) but especially noticable is "kontakt" which is German.

I'm not keen on Ebay as much either...

I think Ebay needs to institute a "deposit" by the seller to give credibility to his/her auction or online advertisement. This will undoubtedly weed-out most of the fraudulent listings.

Ex. To post in Ebay motors, seller must put up refundable deposit or collateral of "x" amount. (Similar to being "verified" by Paypal which is having a banking institution linked to your Paypal account)

However, I use Ebay-motors for what it does well... geographically broad advertisement/listing of automobiles of interest that I would otherwise not know about. Individuals need to realize that if it's too good to be true, it is.

Paul Herman should have put a watermark on the pictures.
