Another Ortega Run

has it been 15 minutes yet??

15th or 16th works for me.
we should make one of those "final details" posts once we set a date just to be sure everyone shows up on the same day.
palomar run?
bbq?

Sounds like fun, except bbq may be difficult if we have to carry all the stuff in the X

personally, I would prefer the run to be on a saturday.

that would be true that the BBQ would be hard after the run---okay we just have to settle on an alternate hang out location for lunch. however, we need to get the date issue settle. i vote for the 16th so that we have enought time cleaning, waxing and cleaning out the garage

...any other suggestion?

If we do the BBQ at Capistrano beach I can have my wife bring what we need down in the truck after we make our run. I'm sure she wouldn't mind at all since this means she won't have to go on the run. We scared her half to death the last time we ran up Mt. Palomar!

Yellowpad - Ramon says he wants to go along if we end up making the run on Sunday.

Ps. The Tubi is SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET!

Paul, ramon has been wanting to come out with us but can't do it since he has to keep the shop open on saturday. this is one of the reasons i brought up the date of sunday so that he could pull out his nsx and stretch her wheels with us. guys..to keep you inform, Ramon is a master mechanic for nsx...been trained by honda on specifically on nsx.....so if it is all the same, you think we can settle on sunday march 16th?

as to the BBQ, i like the idea.....paul thanks your wife a head of time for us.

My first post, but I am 15 minutes from the Ortega. March 16th sounds great and on to Palomar even better. Where do you guys (and gals) start from, Capistrano beach or the Polo fields, etc.? What time do you usually start?
Thanks!

most likely we will be meeting at denny's off of Pico from the 5 freeway. so we're settled with sunday march the 16th?

What is the start time and the route?

We'll do like last time and email the route directly in order not to let "Smokey" know what we are up to.

Last time we met at the Denny's at the corner of Ortega and the I-5.

I suggest we meet at 7:30 for Breakfast with an 8:30 departure time. Last time the route was approx. 3-4 hours with stops.

can't think of better present than a nice scenary cruise with a chain of NSXs, and a nice lunch (you'll have to arrange that yourself) somewhere romantic after the drive. Laguna, newport beach come to mind.
