OK, it is my turn... Again! I just got the car back from Artistic Auto Body. My car was backed into in Nov - Hit and Run - We caught him and the car was repaired. They replaced the hood and front bumper, painted the nose, and buffed out the entire car. It looked perfect... I spent all weekend doing brakes and suspension, until....

My fiance's Rover was in the shop so I let her drive the NSX to her office this morning. She carefully parked across the back of the lot away from any other cars. Unfotunatly, it gave the Chevy Tahoe a running start.

I came home to this...

Yes, she works with my Fiance. I know her insurance will pay, but I am tired of driving rental cars. The sun is out and I want to drive my NSX.

I will drop it back off to the shop in the morning.

Thank you for the sympathy. It helps!

Sorry to hear that Bryan - really enjoyed chatting with you the other day.
Here's to a "speedy" (every pun intended) return!
Good luck man, thanks for your help incidentally!

That really sucks. Sorry to hear about the streak of bad luck.

My ’93 could use a new paint job. Would you like to borrow it for awhile? :)

Seriously though, that really does suck a big one. But don't rush the shop. You want it done right.

That is why it took so long last time. I made it very clear to the shop that it needed to be perfect, or I would not accept the work.

He said they would make it perfect. They ended up stripping/painting the new hood three times. In addition, the front bumper took a few weeks to get.

I will keep everyone posted.

I think my car wins hands down for the most accidents while sitting in a parking lot.

I can not win. My first BRIGHT RED NSX was destroyed in a rear end collision . And my black car has been backed into three times.

I am going to sell it and get one of these.

That seems unbelievable Bryan - I had a last minute change of heart on re-finishing my old bumper & went directly to Niello & picked up both front halfs that day. I also obtained an '02 rear valance that was in stock (as have several other locals). Another friend got a drivers door & mirror & front fender (similar incident to yours, different location) again, directly from stock.

You can also possibly save a few dollars by buying the body parts yourself anyway, even if the insurance is paying - Niello will give you 30% off list. The Acura/Honda distribution warehouse is only about 15 miles from their store, so have immediate access to it.
They sent a truck down to get the parts as soon as I called & had them waiting for me at the shop by the time I got there. I did not even have to pay anything for the "express" service.
My body shop had no problem with me supplying the parts directly - actually they even tried to have local dealer match my 30% & they would just pass them through to me; however even as a dealer trade discount they could only get 20% (no bs here, I was in the office while they were trying to get more out of them)

Again, good luck.

Man, really sorry to hear about your bad luck. I don't understand people sometimes. What are they thinking?!
Last weekend I took my NSX to someones graduation. My friend followed behind my car because we wanted to get there together but he was going to dinner afterwards and I wasn't. So we are driving to the graduation and from following behind me, he counted 5 times within 45 minutes that I almost got hit. 5 TIMES!! And what I don't understand is how one of the guys kept trying to change lanes? I honked and he swirved back to his lane, then tried changing lanes again. I just don't understand...
But it's the same when I'm out on my bikes, bright RED and Yellow and still people don't see you? :(
Ok, done rambling on.... :)
Regards
Z

You may not be driving but you seem to have a lot of bad luck.

Taking mine out this Saturday charging up the batteries as I write this. Plan to take them out to the Columbia on the other side of the airport.

It is going in in the morning. I got them to step up a little and I am getting a Volvo S60 as a rental. Beats the Focus.

Chops, are you in a rental????
