Any interest in another country drive on SUNDAY, 20 OCTOBER ??

Please post interest here, and any preferences for routes / attractions.

Possibilities include (some are re-peats from prior drives):

- The Last Detail (need to work this with Steve)
- Volo Car Musuem -- http://www.volocars.com/index-a.html
- Art Museum in Milwaukee -- COOL background for pix - http://www.mam.org/
- John G's garage-mahal (need to work this with JG) -- see pix at http://communities.msn.com/GustosClassics
- Lake Geneva Resort
- roads around/near Road America

Plan is to keep it relatively loose -- open to all marques/makes, club affiliation not required (NSXCA radios are recommended).

Post here, or private me at [email protected]

I'd suggest we need about 10-12 cars minimum to get it going.

Thanks -- Manuel

I will definitely participate in this one.

If Ken (nsxtasy) is going to be there, can I just give him my NSXCA membership form + check in person?

Manuel, how about meeting up at The Last Detail and then cruising over to one of the other spots together in a caravan?

I know it's a bit of a drive for you guys but if you want I may have a really cool idea out here in Indiana. There is a pro cirucit go kart track here called South Bend Raceway Park (www.sbrp.com) that gives us a special Tirerack employee rate when we run there (it's about a 70% discount so it will be VERY reasonable). I think we have the 20th reserved and I think we can accomodate about 40 drivers, and I'm sure no more than about 20 of us are signed up. There are the 35-40 mph karts with transponder timers and all. If you guys think there is an interest I can go to the person in charge and see if we can get in on it??? Just an idea,
Aaron

I would be interested in that date also. Please post details on this thread. Thanks.

NSX1164, recieved your email, can't email back directly due to firewalls. Could you please post directions to the Last Detail or refer me to another link. Also, a buddy might drive my S2k and come with me. Let me know, thanks.

Here's the tentative plan... still tweaking it, and open to suggestions.

Last Detail is on US-41 in North Chicago -- http://www.thelastdetail.com/location.html

Also, a buddy might drive my S2k and come with me. Let me know, thanks.
All car makes / marques are welcome -- the more (volume and variety) the better.

Details still being finalized -- see above.

I think myself and possibly 2 other cars from here are in. Sounds like fun and I haven't been to volo since I was a kid

YES its FINAL.
Mark your calendars for SUNDAY the 20th.
I'll be chatting with John Gust sometime today, and lining up the schedule.

We'll have a nice selection of cars: several NSX, S2000, Corvette, Honda, Miata, BMW M3, etc.

Sweet! So far I'll be bringing a couple of more C5 Corvettes, an 03' SL500, and BMW M5. I'll call up a few more friends and let them know about this cruise. Should be a great time!

WE NEED MORE NSXs !!!

We'd also like to have available as many NSX Club radios as we can.

Those who are attending, please bring your radio(s). If there are other Chicagoland-area folks with club radio units that can LEND them for the drive, please contact me via email at [email protected]

I have more details and will update the above schedule later this weekend. I'll also be sending out info via email.

Thanks -- Manuel

I'm sure we'll have another NSX Club get-together again soon, with plenty of NSXs and NSX owners.

Sorry, but I won't be there. Feel free to mail the form and check. Or, if you wish to pay by credit card or Paypal, I can sign you up by fax or even over the phone - send me a private e-mail if this is of interest.

Manuel, is this event a go regardless of the weather? Hopefully, it'll be dry out.

Its a GO... I understand that some folks might bring "other" vehicles if the weather changes (e.g., some convertibles might be replaced if it rains).

Forecast is currently still dry / partially cloudy... we'll consider some backup activities should conditions require them (e.g., more time at VOLO museum, etc).
