AMEX Black card???

Maybe next someone will release a "my d*ck is bigger" card for those folks...

So true! Who gives a crap what color your card is? Are you really going to impress the hourly waiter / bartender. etc. with a black card? In fact, why try to impress anyone for that matter? Yeah, I spend about $4-5K a month on my credit card - one card pays for everything and yes it gets paid off every month so I guess I might qualify for one but I could care less what color the card is.

I only have a one credit card with a $1k limit. I only got it because a few years ago I wanted to rent a car and they wouldn't accept a debit card. I haven't used the card in soooo long.

If I am not mistaken, the only way to get the AMEX Blackcard, is you have to be asked by AMEX. In other words, you have to be some kind of celeb or uber rich person that can drop a few mil without breaking a sweat. Aka Tiger Woods, George Clooney, or the middle eastern lady at Best Buy I saw a few months back buying a crap load of stuff with her Black Card, ah yes...to have a family in the oil business. Too bad my family is barely in the WD-40 biz

Was George Clooney able to use his black card to bail him out of jail?

No the cops only took VISA or MASTER CARD

Tried using my AMEX (not black) in Cancun and other parts of Mexico a few years ago, no luck, wouldn't even accept an AMEX Travelers check in London! No sense in spending money on card membership for a card you can't use so I Got rid of it. I went with United's Visa which gives me miles. Now, due to my travel habits, this year's Cancun vacation is almost free!

I don't understood the cash-only mentality. Why spend your own money when you can use someone else's interest free for a month?? Plus, most credit cards these days have perks like miles and cash back.

I'm in the same boat as 92NSX. I only have a Visa with a $1,000 limit, and I
still hardly use it. My recent statement came in and I spent roughly $5,000 this
year on it, and that's all. I guess cash and my debit card are sufficient. I use
the Visa for emergencies or reservations mostly. Plus I get cash back too!

AMEX black card? Nah, no thanks.

I got a $75K card limit....but that's linked with my Home Equity line of credit...
