Am I the only one who'd want this:

I step in this section from time to time and I am actually fond of this design made by Procar. I think it integrates today's modern lines with the first generation NSX design. Kinda looks more like an aircraft, which we all know is good. I actually told him to send this to Honda, because what better reference for Honda than it's own consumers. I am actually pretty let-down with the designs and prototypes i've seen, makes the first generation more appealing and more to treasure.

Any insights on you other NSX enthusiasts?

Paul

I'm pretty sure all of us would want that...as long as it didn't cost more than a 911 turbo.
(Actually, would be nice if it was less than $100k!)

I actually think that it looks ugly, as it looks like a 350/gtr thing merged with an NSX and the 2nd Gen front end.

FWIW When the NSX last sold in the UK it was about £ 65K or around $ 130.000 USD!

Cheers,

AR

?? It's a 2-D sketch hacked together by some enthusiasts. How can you call it ugly? Looks like the right idea to me....sure it's rough, but I can imagine what it could be.

I can't imagine our current NSX would look any better if it was drawn like that.

+1
If somebody made a kit like that, and used an NSX (with a turbo etc) as a donor, it would be great.
traxtar614, did you proportion the wheels to be 18”, 19” or 20”? That could be why it looks so short.
Great work.

I love that design! I hope the next NSX would look similar to that...

I don't play golf, and I don't care if the car has room for two golf bags;-)

not a fan of that pic but I did like what one member did by combining last gen and the HSC

I was disappointed that honda did not follow the time-provencourse that Porsche has done that is somewhat reflected in the image presented in this thread -- an evolution of design like the 356 to 912 to 911 to 996. Imagine if Honda had left alone the mid-engined, aluminium platform, had added turbocharging and/or more cc's, had included beefier wheels and tires and updated suspension, along with a more aggressive body again like the image in this thread. All the R&D to create the new front engine platform they are talking about could have been minimized, and the heritage of our hand-built NSX would have lived on.

I like the image contained here and wish Honda had followed this line of thinking.

looks pretty good, just tone down the bulkiness of the front end and stretch it a little, and change to a Mid-engined, rear wheel biased SH-AWD system and I would get the equity from my home and buy it now. Best part of the NA1 and NA2 nsx is the visibility, the ASCC looked like visibility would be like a 18 wheeler, exp with those huge rear pillars.

traxtar614, Is there any chance you could also work your magic on a front view and a rear view???

stole this (not literally) from shiftys thread, shows the NSX underneath.

gives some idea of what could be made of it by chopping the trunk off, shaving the nose off and getting traxtar614's NSX.
anyone want to make a bodykit for me?

BTW, traxtar614, I hope you don't mind me using your excellent picture as an avatar. If you do, just let me know and I’ll remove it.

looks like a (better looking) latest gen MR2

i don't know why you'd turn the nsx into something stubby like that.

decent looking car, but not for "the next nsx"

... Nicely stated jmp. I am a believer that cars have to gradually transition themselves. The 911 keeps it's tadpole eyes and sexy butt. The Skylines' front is similar as well as the rear. I'd like the NSX to have a gradual change, after all it is still a pretty modern car.
