a couple of people have now told me i'm crazy for this, i really didn't think anything of it. anyone else carry their pet in there car my lab is about 70lbs and hangs out the window :-}

Tell those people that they are crazy for advising you what to do with your personal property during your lifetime, which you only get to do once.

Ok, I'll be the second NSXer to admit transporting my dog in my car. In fact, my chihuahua Ollie loves my NSX a lot more than my '93 RX7. He stands ip on the passemger seat, pokes his tiny head over the window frame and greets onlookers as the glance at the car. I'm convinced he thinks they're looking at him alone--I don't want to bust his bubble. The NSX seat is more room for longer excursions and serves nicely as magic-motion bed. On warm days, he gets his own A/C vent. OK, your dog is 70 lbs., mine is 6 lbs. Admittedly, there is a slight difference in dog here, but the canines and NSXs get along nicely--- sans shedding. The guys who call you crazy are probably the same guys that thrash their cars on the track, which I think is much more abbusive. What's the worst a dog can do, rip some leather or scratch some paint?

My lab (90lbs - ok she's a bit chubby) loves the NSX especially with the top off. She sits there regally (she really thinks she's a princess) with her ears blowing in the wind. I have almost as much fun watching her enjoying the ride as I do driving the car. To those that disapprove I say get a life - or better yet, get a dog :-)

I love this thread!!!

Unfortunately, my lab likes to lay down when riding (culmination of much obedience work and her dad's attempts to keep her safe with his driving!)and her frame cannot curl up comfortably in the bucket seat. I am envious of you guys!

My Black Lab, loves the ride too.......he even keeps his head out the window when I punch it with the race exhaust! But then again he wags his tail for gun shots too...Too bad my lab wont be riding in the Recaros that are coming soon..
Great thread...and its good to see the other labs out there! Awesome pets!

Happy Racing (w/dogs too)

What do you put on your seats for them to sit on? I'm afraid my dog (not a Lab

)will puncture the leather. Is their seat belts on while riding?

My lab is the only thing preventing me from putting more miles on my NSX. It always comes down to the decision should I take the dog or the car.

I seem to recall waking up next to a few, but I never remember the ride home;-)

My cat has been back and forth to the vet every week for the past six months, just open the window and watch the white cat hair blow around the inside of the car's black cabin.

Thanx Tiger740. Here are a few more good shots of him as well : http://www.geocities.com/msidhu33/benni/benni.html

Believe it or not, I specifically spent extra time hunting for a tan interior NSX just because of my dog! (The tan really hides his fur well.)

Small tip - just put a towel over the seat so his nails don't punch through the leather. I done this countless times and the leather is still in great shape.

If my boss had an NSX, I'm sure he'd post here.

He has a Black Lab/Rhodesian Ridgeback mix named Morgan that is our company's official mascot. He brings her to work everyday...and, since he likes to drive nice cars, he has chosen several specifically to appease her.

In the past he owned a Toyota Supra, perfect since Morgan fit behind the seats. Then he got a Ferrari 355 GTS that Morgan absolutely hated. So my boss bought a BMW M5 for his daily driver (he bought a protective dog cover for the backseat). Unfortunately, the M5 has been plagued with all kinds of mechanical and electrical problems, so my boss will soon be replacing it with a Porsche 911 GT2 (which apparently has space behind the seats like the Supra). The crazy things dog lovers / car enthusiasts will do...

I prefer cats...but won't let them ride in my NSX!

I love dogs, and NSXs!

P.S. Soulstice, your dog looks really good in your car. Where does your gf/wife sit, then

?

Easy...I just let my dog and gf (now an ex-gf since 3 weeks ago) duke it out and the loser goes in the trunk. It's a fair fight since they are both pretty much in the same weight class. 85 lb dog vs 110 lb gal

(real story - if all 3 needed to go somewhere, we just jumped in the ex's Accord)

cool.. now i know i'm alright with the dog in the nsx my only other problem is he droulss kinda bad when riding and it gets over the dash etc but i guess can't be worse than armor all

Oh don't even mention armor all, that is the nastiest POS ever sold as a car care product (as ANY product in fact). I was lucky enough to try it on my car before the NSX. Phew~~

No. But Cosmo doesn't ride in my NSX.

At one NSXPO, one attendee brought his Yorkie (Yorkshire Terrier) with him on the cross-country drive to the event.

I let my Pit Bull ride in my car all the time. I did not get his ears clipped so he sticks his head out the window and his ears flap in the wind. I can see people behind me in my mirror laughing all the time.
