Generally speaking, is the alternator suppose to be charging at idle?
I'm getting only about 12.5-volts during idle but would get a good charge 13.5 to 14.0-volts anytime the engine is above 1000 rpm. Volts remain pretty constant regardless of load or no-load.
Am I ok or should I prep for a new alternator?
