Whats wrong with Hondas crush washers?Forget the oil filter, is there an alternative to using Honda crush washers?
DOes anyone know why an OEM filter is better?
Let's skip an answer to that and the subsequent pseudo technical beat down.
Cut to the chase so you can tell everyone what you think is best
You know you want to.

I look for construction materials and MPE and SPE ratings.
AFter market ones are posting MPE of 99 percent.
Whats the OEM
Why are there so many threads about which oil and filter to use. If you use a brand name and change every 3K it doesn't matter which you use.
Except don't use Fram.
Why? I have used them for over 30 years with 1 vehicle with 220K and 3 others with over 100K. The only reason I use the oem on the NSX is that the local Acura dealer hosts our monthly meets so I buy all parts including oil filters from them to show my support or I'd be using Fram on it also.
Many years ago there was an owner that used a Fram and the gasket blew out, oil gone, cost him a motor, if I recall. That is the reason most avoid them.

That could happen with any brand oil filter.
Yes there important but they were designed for filters mounted horizontal, ours are vertical. Manu. Put them in to cover a broader application ,they can't hurt.Fram's also dont have anti drain-back valves. They are constructed of cardboard.
Me I just use the Honda filter how about you Pbasso?:
