Hi..........anyone know of the schedule of events for the weekend as it pertains to the race program? Please advise the link.

As well, Bram...........what is our schedule for those that are participating for the weekend. Where to meet, time, driving up together (first stopping for breakfast), etc..

Please advise the agenda and what you think we should bring with us i.e. chair, water, ----be very helpful to have a bit of info in advance so not to forget anything and be prepared.

Thanks for the GREAT opportunity to attend the event. Maybe I can trade my bike for a car?? LOL! What are the lap times for some of the cars?

Shawna - I dont believe that we have the specifics of the drive up arranged yet. The tickets are being mailed to Bram and the parade lap on Saturday is at 12:10.

It does not appear that there will be a Highcroft tour.

Thanks for the link.

Humm... I told Bram I couldn't make it on Sat, but I can probably make it on Sun...

IMPORTANT UPDATE:

The parade lap as per the schedule is NOT CORRECT.

The schedule calls for a Sunday parade. I have received confirmation this AM that the lap is actually on SATURDAY (as initial discussion suggested).

Parade lap is Sat at 12:10.

ALL PARTICIPATING NSXS ARE TO MEET AT THE CORRAL AT 11:40 on Saturday.

There are important procedures that must be adhered to and everybody who intends to participate in the parade lap must get credentialed. If your car is parked in the corral but you do not intend to parade, please make sure that you are not blocking the passage of any NSX who may wish to leave the corral for the parade.

Re: Alms Schedule . . . MOSPORT NSX PARADE!

Yes... The ACURA NSX parade lap will be on Saturday at 12:10 pm – 12:30 pm (limit 25 NSXs).

Please be by your cars in the parking corral no later than 11:40 am for CREDENTIALLING for the parade lap and for the mandatory participants' SAFETY BRIEFING.

The NSX parking corral will be located inside circuit T7/8 below where Corvette and Porscheplatz corrals are.

(Regarding Highcroft, etc team visit: This is a NSXCA (club event) and not Acura’s.)

Have Fun!
See you at Mosport!

Hi Kim.........so if we are NXSCA members are we able to visit with Highcroft in the garage?? My Dyslexic mind is confusing me.:confused:

Who is this Kim??? Highcroft I guess.

Shawna, it is looking like there will NOT be a Highcroft tour at this event. NSXCA tried to help us with one, but was not successful.

GECKO-

By all means, the ALMS is ALL about the 'fans'...
Feel free to roam the paddock and visit ALL three of the ACURA teams, Highcroft, Andretti-Green & Lowes Fernandez, as well as the competition in LMP2 class and the other three classes as well!

If you are there the day or two BEFORE the race, the paddock usually has lots of mechanical activities going on with individual cars & their inspections & modifications as needed.. AND it's less crowded! ;)

At 12:15 SUNDAY, RACE DAY there will be an ALL ALMS driver autograph session in the paddock for all.

Also, the ALMS opens the grid TO THE FANS, for about 10-15 minutes JUST BEFORE the start of the race. Grid girls, race cars, team members, drivers and owners... NOT to be missed if you have never participated before.

Great photo ops abound!
~~~~~~~~
BioBanker-
'This Kim' (lol!) is not with Highcroft, but rather with IMSA - International Motorsports Association, which is the sanctioning body for the ALMS...
I facilitate the 'special events'...
Just happy to help out and see that everyone enjoys the event, and perhaps learns a bit about how the ALMS is NOT just 'spec car racing!'
Happy to answer any other questions, or find the answers for you...
PM for contact info..
'This' Kim!
Thanks.......what about the Grid Boys??????:biggrin:
That'd be Stu. You havent seen the outfit he is wearing to the race.
Words cannot describe the horror.
Dave always tells me about these dreams he has days before seeing me at the track - in all the dreams I'm dressed like one of the village people and I welcome him to Mosport holding a sign, "Dave you're the fastest"
Seriously Dude, you don't need to go to a dream interpreter for them, its clear your a nutty fruitcake!:tongue:
Besides Dave, you know once we get on the track and I lap you a few times, dreams don't always come true!:rolleyes:
The only laps that Stu is acquainted with belong to his hair stylists.
I think most of us would prefer you dressed up like a Village person. Anything is better than that "not so" cool suit you wear!
It says "Captain Cool" across your back! You bringing it to the ALMS? Gonna tow the resevoir around in that little wagon again?
If i can have your old battery - you know the one you use as an excuse for not making it to the track:rolleyes: - maybe I can rig it up to run my cool suit! Of course I don't have a little wagon:confused: - but I'll see what I can do!:biggrin:
I've got lots of used batteries in case you need them:cool:
Dave......I'm well over 40 and have moved up to the DD:rolleyes:
I like Double D's, I really get a charge out of them!:biggrin: :wink:
Dave likes Triple A's - he likes football teams too!:rolleyes:
The short answer is: Look at my Avitar! (imagine its in the correct colours)
Its a shot of me wearing my Fresh Air Systems (FAST) Cool Suit, not unlike many other serious and pro drivers - Dave can't get over the fact it says fast on the front - especially since he's not in front of me for long!!!:biggrin:
It doesnt just say FAST, it says...
"Im SUPER FAST"
That, with Captain Cool across your back, does me in.
I dont have to bring up that time when you froze your ass to the lawnchair AGAIN do I?????
At 12:15 SUNDAY, RACE DAY there will be an ALL ALMS driver autograph session in the paddock for all.
At the Lime Rock ALMS I had the Acura teams sign photos that I had taken of the Acura cars at Sebring. As a courtesy to our Northern neighbors, if anyone would like to print and use one my photos taken at either Sebring or Lime Rock I will provide full resolution digital files at no charge to your group for your use at the autograph session. I would just ask that you use the photos only for this purpose for copyright reasons.
