If you are interested in regional events, they can be whatever you want them to be. (Just don't set dates that conflict with NSXPO!) If you want to set up a multi-day event, you can do so. In the Midwest Region, we have had an annual "Spring Fling" event that combines group meals, group drives, museum tours, winery tours, etc. over a weekend, on a date where there's a Monday track event in case anyone is interested in sticking around. Small, short events are great too, of course! Whatever folks are interested in organizing and doing.
If these are official NSX Club of America events, don't forget that the regions (and chapters, where applicable) have funds available for use in promoting and subsidizing these events.
