Nowadays, good dealers and mechanics have sophisticated equipment that allows the alignment to be a lot more accurate. Unless you're willing to spend thousands of dollars for this equipment, you're better off leaving this job to the pros. Besides, it's a relatively inexpensive procedure (1-2 hours labor).
