Akira3D's NSX Prime Canyon Drive 3 video

I downloaded the vid but all I get is audio, what did I do wrong?

Well, since NSX-Ster's has been too busy to work on the DVD, I thought I'd share a segment that I'm personally contributing.

This clip is in wmv (Windows Media 9) format, so you'll need the latest Windows Media Player to see watch it. Despite being heavily compressed, the file is 26MB and lasts a whopping 11 minutes, 11 seconds. All of the footage in this video came from my cameras.

Enjoy.

I really enjoyed your video. Do you have anymore?

Dang, I knew that motor looked familiar! :D

Killer job on the video Eric. I think you may regret putting something so nice together when everyone nominates you as the offical PRIME video editor.

Make sure you have the latest Windows Media Player (version 9).

I have shot tons of video over the past two years, but have edited very little of it. Of course, this was the first event where I had in-car footage from a mounted camera, so I doubt I'll have nearly as much quality material to work with.

I'll be getting some time off in October, so I'm hoping I'll get to revisit earlier events...but, I fear that I'll have tons of new footage to edit too (CalCoastal Autocross, PV Concours d'Elegance, NSXPO!!!!). And I do have hours of non-NSX video projects to edit...some still taking up valuable harddrive space.

I'm surprised you didn't recognize it immediately. :p

Killer job on the video Eric.

Thanks.

Uh...well...hmmm...didn't think about that.

Drooooollllllll. Awesome work. Wish I was there!

ROTFLMAO! :D

Looks like I've become quite the celeb since I last visited this site!! :p

I had a blast that day. I'd like to thank John & Tina and those that helped organized the event one of the best I've ever attended, and Eric for editing the cool vids. :D

I can't wait 'til next year's event! And of course, the Z#50 will get a chance to stretch its legs this time around!!
;)

Akira3D... i've been a bit slow to respond, but terrific work you've done. I was amazed at how much variation you've got with only a limited number of cameras. And 11mins is a long clip, but it doesn't seem long.

top job ; and that's coming from being a video-editor myself.

That's why I can't wait to see what NSX-Ster does with the combined footage from all of our cameras.

BTW, for myself I'm putting together a very loose cut that just shows the driving portions (it still needs to be cut since there's more than an hour-and-a-half of footage). There's a lot of awesome stuff that I simply didn't show on my video...hopefully Master Stepp will put these unused moments on the DVD (I personally like the segment where I'm playing catch up with the rest of the pack after our post bridge gathering - no cars in front of me, high speeds...).

That was a cool video! I wish there were that many NSX's in my neck of the woods for a drive like that.... Looked like it was a lot of fun. :D

Thanks again!

I'm so pleased that everyone is enjoying my little clip. FYI, I recently made a few minor changes while fixing a section of the stuttering video, so you have reason to download it again. :D

And since Lud was kind enough to put a link to this thread on top of the main NSX Prime page, I have decided to gather links to all of my NSX Prime Canyon Drive 3 clips in this post...note that ALL of these have been updated since they were originally posted in other threads:

Intro (3.72MB wmv) This NEW clip features bunched up NSXs and club radio chatter

Akira3D's Prime Cut (24.7MB wmv) A slightly enhanced version of the sequence originally posted in this thread

NSX Parade (3.47MB wmv) This seemingly endless shot of NSXs now opens with a couple of additional shots (including Ilya's Celica and Randy's FuryNSX)

Take a spin! (736KB wmv) The only added element to this sequence is captions

Thanks for sharing. Nice video and very well made.

Food for thought next time (assuming you want to go through the trouble again): I'd love to see some interviews with owners (give ttheir Prime name maybe) talking about their NSX, mods, etc. That would be fun.

Easier said than done. I've wanted to do that at every gathering I've videod over the years, but never seem to have enough time.

But I agree, having interviews (or at least knowing what are in some of the more modded NSXs) is something that should be in future videos.

That reminds me, I have more footage from Gerry Johnson's CalCoastal visit (last year) that I STILL need to cut together.
