Today on several occasions the AC in my '95 has taken a few seconds to start blowing air. This just started - I used to start the car and the AC would come on right away.
Any ideas? Anybody else have this happen?
After it starts it works fine - it's like it is now on a time delay start.
Any help would be appreciated.

As always seek your answers thru "NSXTASY".
He knows "EVERYTHING" Aand I mean everything!

I say this in a complimentary type of way because I've seen enormous amounts of info that I would think noone would or could possibly know, him respond to in hours of it's posted question.

I picture a 190 year old man siting in front of the computer w/ a long beard that looks like a scorcerer (<----Cant Spell!) in a long black cloak w/ a walking stick and a crystal ball on the end (between laps at the track!!)

PS... In my car it does the same thing and as far as I remember it's normal as per my inquiry to Mark Basch.

This thread proves that you are mistaken on that point. Which is why I didn't respond when this was first posted over an hour ago.

However, on that, you may be right.

OK - this is really getting weirder. Drove home from the office and AC didn't come on at all (the fan, that is - compressor is working). I turned the AC on and off several times, and finally turned the fan speed to the max - IT CAME ON.
So I'm driving a while with the fan full blast, still playing with it - does not work on any speed but max. Then after about 15 minutes of driving it's OK again.
Could this be the dreaded control unit? In it's early stage of death? Or just some cruel Halloween hex?

Hmmm... The fan only working on high is normally associated with the blower / power transistor problem noted in the FAQ and in TSB 92-007. But that is only for '91-92 cars...

If the system is on "full auto" then it does take a few seconds to ramp up the fan speed when you first start the car. This is normal.

You can set the fan speed manually using the knob and it will come up to the set speed faster when you start the car. That is probably how you had it set before.

If you can see the photo in this post, then I don't know why you're having trouble including them in yours...

I can see the photo fine underneath the line I typed that says "Testing:".

BadCarma can't see it at all.

Could someone else please verify whether you can, or can't, see the picture in my post? Thanks.
