Momo Monte Carlo, NRG quick release. My stock steering wheel is in good shape, cosmetically, but the "grip" between 10-1 be slipp'n I think the adhesive form the factory that bonds the grip to the circular metal inner frame of the wheel disintegrated - not ideal for a car that is poised and accurate while cornering! I think the steering wheel is a great upgrade to these cars, and apparently Honda did too (type-R, S, Szero). Anyone know of a spacer that will get the wheel a smidge closer to me? I have the column all the way out and feel like I could use another .5-1" closer for the seat position to be perfect. I have a Recaro SPG on SOS rails which fits perfect, but I took it out since I don't track her anymore.
I just went with a fresh Momo MOD 30 with buttons in suede, 320mm flat bottom. Really like the way it feels and is super easy to turn, even for low-speed parking. Get some!
Anyone looking for a good price on the NSX-S or NSX-R steering wheels here are a couple of links. I had him source a OEM Honda NSX-S Momo Zagato style wheel and purchased it. He has both NSX-R steering wheels too. Just thought I would pass it along to those looking for one. I received my NSX-S steering wheel yesterday. Very well packed and the real deal. I think he has 4 left for sale as well as the NSX-R types too.
OEM NSX-R has 9 mounting holes drilled in it vs 6; the printed Momo Tuner logo on the steering wheel pushes "MOMO" slightly off center vs OEM. I think one of the NSX-R versions was offered with Red Stitching as well. Not sure if the Tuner was/is.
