After A CTSC what is the next BIG step?

What about the labor cost in the shop?

You have owned the car for a couple of weeks now. How is it? I'm sorry but I don't understand the logic of wanting/needing more power without owning the car for atleast a couple of months.

IMHO, you need to:
1. Drive the car.
2. Do Suspension mods.
3. Light weight wheel/tires - they will increase RWHP.
4. Track time(there is reason why we are all mentioning it:wink: )

Sorry to take it OT - but I love it when a bunch of guys on one particular car website bash other cars that they have never owned and most likely cannot afford.

The car is wonderful and the reason I asked the question is to get a sense of what my options are should I elect to pursue them. I do not intend on taking the car on the track as I stated several times and I have already attended a racing school at Laguna Seca and I have said this several times as well.

Russell School at Laguna Seca? That was decades ago!

Time for another class as a re-fresher!

Plus, if you dont intend on tracking your car, an Accusump may not be crucial...

Investing in yourself is the best thing you can do, whether you're tracking a different car, or driving on the streets. It's a skill that you must keep practicing and using, otherwise you will lose most of it.

I'm on my second Gallardo after 8 years of NSX ownership. Every bit as reliable as the NSX, so far.

OK that sounds pretty good. I am sure for an "exotic", the reliability has gone up with Audi taking over just like Aston improved with Ford taking over... even if both Audi and Ford are not known for stellar reliability. But really how much do you drive the Gallardo? These cars are usually babied, garaged, maintained perfectly.

I have had several audi's and they ALL had electrical issues. I am talking about new Audi's not old ones. It drove me crazy. Same thing with my MB's... constantly back at the dealer. The most reliable German make I have had has been Porsche.

I never owned a Porsche but from what I've witnessed with German cars I agree. I've see quality issues abound with VW'S and Beemers too and personally, I can't understand the perception the public has about the supposed superior quality of German automobiles.

I have owned multiple mercedes and never had even a single issue. I think it would be tough to find a car built today that didn't have excellent reliability. The quality of the average automobile has increased dramatically in the last 15-20 years.

What happened to the first one?!

I plan on getting rid of most of my rides and stepping up to a Gallardo. I keep searching for horror stories regarding Gallardo reliability and I can't find anything. I even hear Gallardo owners saying that it is the most reliable vehicle they've ever owned. I think I'll soon be thanking Audi for being able to replace the NSX.
