Advan AVS Model 5's, where are you at?

Hey guys, need your help. Just purchased a set of Advan Model 5's from a fellow prime member. Wheels looked great and nice guy to work with. I got them mounted yesterday and the rear wheel/tires stick out too much in my opinion. Both me and the seller were on the same page before I purchased the wheels that I was looking for a flush look...but this is a little beyond flush. What are my options to correct this? Rear - 18x10 - 19 offset mounted on 265-35-18 Dunlop Durenza Sport Z1's.
The car has Bilsteins.

I think the super aggressive setups your car must be slammed so the rear wheels tuck in even more... Other option is to dial in slight more camber as well.

That's what I suspect my car would look with the 10" +19 offset.

To make your setup work...
* need more camber
* need to be much lower to gain that additional camber in most cases
* The Z1s tend to run wider than most tires I've tried.

However, now you're adjusting your alignment specs to fit your tires not adjusting your tires to fit your alignment specs. :)

Can the more (negative) camber simply be achieved by adjusting what is on the car from factory, no "camber kit" necessary?

We'll have to wait to hear feedback from other folks who adjust camber for fitment purposes. With a moderate drop there is no need to get a camber kit to adjust camber to performance specs.

If you're willing to go lower and perhaps with a 255 tire the fitment ought to work.

18x10 +19 has worked on some cars, but it is very aggressive. You need to lower the car more and induce more camber. You can also go with 255's to help with the situation. Tire brand also makes a difference as some manufacturers run "wider" then the advertised size. Falken 452's for example are one of the more narrow tires which I always recommend for aggressive fitment. I'm not sure how those Dunlops run though....

Also, if you are on Bilsteins and are maxed out on the the lowest perch, then it looks like you need to get coilovers. I know, alot of work to get these offsets to fit properly. Personally, I wouldn't advised you to get those wheels if I knew you were just on Bilsteins. You really need something in the +35 to +45 range.

Side Note: Watch your symbols, it's confusing when you use the minus symbol when it should be the "plus."
 
First try to add camber by getting an alignment. Otherwise you definitely need coilovers if you don't have them already and lower the car so they tuck in. I ran this setup successfully with a 255 Yokohama AD08 which is an extremely wide tire- it didn't even look stretched on the 10" wheel.

Yeah, the best bet might be to go down to 255's as I really don't want coil overs. If the camber won't fix the problem. Looks like by switching to 255's from 265's that will reduce the width by -0.39" (based on general tire calculator math) which might make the largest and biggest improvement.

Side Note: sorry about the symbol, what meant as a hyphen... but understand, should have been +.

Bc coilovers for only $1000- you'd get a new suspension that you can adjust vs the ho hum bilsteins on lower perch.

40 pages of Mod 5s. How and where are you guys finding and getting these wheels from?

I got mine from IMS_NA1, who was shipping them from Japan. I bought the rear pair which he had listed here, then waited a few months until the correctly sized fronts popped up for sale then waited some more for them to float their way over here. Then I had to get them refinished. It was worth the wait.
