Does anyone now if the ABS (software and/or hardware) on the NSX have been through any updates over the years. I have noticed how much quicker pulsing the ABS on newer cars seem to be than in my NSX. Does the 2002 NSX still uses the same stuff as the '91 model.
Would be hard for me to believe Honda never upgraded those systems.

The ABS and TCS software have both been updated many, many times over the years. The newer software is far better than the earlier software in several ways.

Lud,
Is it then possible to upgrade an older NSX with the newer software. Exchanging the CPU or other parts for example? Or would this involve more than just a software upgrade?

You can change the ECU and TCS computers within certain years, but they are certainly not all interchangeable. For example you don't want to put a '95 OBDII / drive-by-wire ECU in a '91 OBDI drive-by-cable NSX! There are several other combinations that will not work properly. I do not have a comprehensive list of what will or will not work offhand.

In some cases there are even running changes to the software within a given model year. The very early '91 cars shipped with different TCS setup than the later '91 cars, for example.
