Hi everyone
Been doing my timing belt-fluid change out and decided to do the bleed on the abs. hookes up wiring per dano and got no motor run. checked for power at the motor with test light and have power whn circuit is active. i have had a yellow light but thought it was a speed sensor. No telling how long the motor has been out. I am having trouble finding info on replacing the motor. The sevice manual says to not disaseble.Any sugestions?

If the motor is dead you will need to replace it. Not that common, so be sure you have good connections both +/-. 57310-SL0-003 About $363 at discount parts dealers.

Thanks Larry
I confirmed power at the conector but will need to take it off t check deeper wireing. It looks like the pump and motor are sold as an asembly but i have seen reference to the motor for 250. Im inclined to just by the pump and motor asembly but was wondeing if indeed the motor ws available as a seperate part?

The Acura parts catalog calls it "Pump Assy" Not sure where to source half of it:)......

Rod,
I have a couple extra ABS pumps.....the only problem is I am in Afghanistan.....let me know if you get no other offers. I sell them for $100. If you can wait till next Christmas, I can help you. Until then make a jumper wire to go in the connector (vehicle side) at the ABS accumulator. Take a small wire and strip both ends, insert them into the connector, cover the connector with a small plastic bag and zip tie the bag to the harness to keep water and dirt out.

This will give the ABS computer a false indication that the pressure at the ABS modulator/accumulator is up to spec pressure. This will get the ABS caution light to go out. You will not have any ABS though.

I live in Boise....most of the time and come to the Seattle area to visit friends and NSX owners.

Let me know,
Brad

Thanks Brad. I had to go work on some other stuff so wont be back at the acura for a week or two. I think i will pull the unit out and disasemble to see whats wrong and procede from there. I will post what i see

I disasembled the motor and pump.Motor was dead. My concern is the fluid lines were dry and it seemed there was corrosion or something in the lines. Not sure what other problems im going to have once i get fluid and pressure.

Bringing this thread back.

I have a dead pump and have already purchased a new one and the Bleeder T-wrench. When installing the new pump do I need to remove the brake fluid from the reservoir first?

Yes I think you will need to remove the fluid. I thought there was a hose from the tank to the pump that will drain when disconnected. After you install the new pump add fluid and activate the pump relay to turn on the pump. The fluid will go down. Add fluid and run the pump until it stops then you should be good to go. I just activated the relays to get the air out.
