Hi Members of Prime

I had a ABS/ALB system not working some time ago. The thread is here somewhere? But anyways I'll go right to the point. My ABS was malfunctioning with the usual symptoms. So, I jump the wired as one of a prime member suggested. This was only temporary until I figure what direction to take. A few months past and it's now winter here in MN. It gets very cold on certain nights. I was have trouble getting my car started for sitting for alwhile in storage. As some member suggested that i get a battery tender, and so I did. While doing so, I decieded that I'll reconnect my ABS/ALB cable. After a day of with the battery tender and the weahter condition was decent. I start her up to get it warm for a drive. To my surprise, the abs, pumps, regulate, stop. And it started working again. Step on the brakes on icy pathes on the road. ABS lights flicker and padles started shaking just like it did before. So, the next day and the days after that, It's was been working.......

So, what has happened here, I don't know? that's why I'm posting this thread so that I might get an answer from you guy's with the know how's and the brains. I guess i'll wait and see. Maybe this is a fluke, or maybe it's just waiting to fail again??????..........

Thanks

what was the problem before? Some gets worse during the cold weather as the abs pump kept on cycling, probably due to the seals not holding the pressure.

The ABS kept recycling over and over again non-stop. But the weird thing was that it never through me a CEL or anything? This happens last summer and I had this car for about a year now.

Sounds like the solenoids were stuck and now free again. Does the fluid look dirty/murky? If so, flush the system when spring times comes.
Exactly... these units get dirty and contaminated. They need maintenance to keep operating properly. Start with a flush, and exercise, if this does not work see the ABS/ALB Moderator Rebuild procedure - see this thread
Latest version of the rebuild: http://www3.telus.net/public/warshan/Cars/NSX/ABS/ACURA NSX ABS mod rebuld_v06.pdf
