Hi,

I've been trawling the archives looking for a problem that resembles mine but can't find it so here it is;

Drove the other day and when slowing down in traffic below about 10 mph the ABS would start clicking and giving me pedal feedback and making a squeeling sound??!!
It didn't really alter the power of the brakes but was disconcerting as it felt like it was kicking back.

Anyway, I stopped removed and checked the abs fuses which were fine. Drove the car home and it seemed better.
The next day I drove the car and it was fine...no problem.
However, got in and drove it today (one week later) and as soon as I used the brakes at normal speed the ABS then TCS light came on.
Every time I switch off the ignition and resart the car the ABS then TCS light come on.
My question is....do you think it's an ABS sensor and if so, how do I find out which one without going to a dealer?

Cheers,

James.

You can do an code scan yourself by grounding the two connectors in the pigtail located under you glove compartment (I think it's blue-but I might be mistaken). You may need to peel back the carpeting to find it. Refer to the service manual Re: the codes.

I had both lights kicking on in my car last summer as well and it turned out to be a bad wheel sensor. The new sensor cost me approx $100 and I was able to replace it myself.
