Want to thank the many posters for all of the ideas that I have read & seen in the 1st 9 months of ownership and in particular Brian, Kyle and Justin over at Source One.

Have always been interested in an NSX after having owned many performance vehicles. Seeing where some of the earlier year prices had been I ended up finding Brian when he had a silver one for sale but unfortunately a day after he had just accepted a deposit on it. Realizing that there was a local expert to rely on, it made me want one all the more. In November, I ended up purchasing a black/black with 105k miles from prime member Bob 54 with a lot of the common repairs already completed.

Being one prone to overly maintain, one of the few remaining items that was of concern were having all of the original hoses so they were swapped out over the winter down time.

The only unexpected repair to date being a window regulator that failed. Taking it to the Source One guys for that gave me an opportunity to do something that has ended up as the most fun that I have for the money so far, short gear swap.

As much fun as the NSX is, always felt the long second gear wasn't the best fit for where and how I drive and wanting of something more. Closely followed every post that mentioned gears and the failed window finally gave me a reason needed to talk it over with Brian, why not do it at the same time. A tremendous change and highly recommended. If anyone is on the fence of whether it's worthwhile swap on the 5 speed, find someone with the swap and go for a ride, major difference.

Next up was trying to decide what to do with the '94 stock gun metal wheels. Initially thought they were want I wanted and went with spacers to have them flush with the wheelwells. Looked good but still not the look I was hoping for. As luck would have it, Source One is doing a Type R conversion and had a set of 17/18 Enkei rims available and they were put on the car Friday. It looked great but make the stock ride ride look even more out of date. As luck would have it, teh '02 stock suspension with Dali Racing springs from the conversion was available and a couple of hours later, Justin it installed. I had been afraid of a huge drop and this set up resulted in 1 & 1/4" drop. A little slower going in & out of driveways but no issues so far and hopefully the westwing lip can handle a little rash if need be. Playing around to find the tire pressure that I like best. An unexpected plus is how much lighter the front end feels at low speed with the new set up compared to the Michelins on stock rims and no need to wonder if having power steering would be a plus.

Here's a before and after. Hopefully good to go for a while until the newness of all of this wears off and then hope to find a CTSC at some point in the future.

Thanks again to all of the members that share their set ups and ideas and anyone in the area who needs a local expert, give a call to the guys over in Goshen.

Greg

Nicely done. Brian and Source1 guys are always great to work with. Justin is very handy with his tools for our nsx.. Source1 did majority of the work on my car too. Good guys.
