With all the bad and tragic news that we've read lately, I thought you guys would get a laugh from this.

Last night the local Hooters had their monthly car show/event. Every month, they host several hundred cars of all varieties. There's Vettes, street rods, 50s-70s Classic cars, dragsters, lowriders, shifter karts, imports, sports cars, etc. A real melting pot.

It's a neat show because you get to meet a lot of different people and see all kinds of cars. I've went before with my 1974 Vette and always had a good time.

Yesterday, I decided to drive the NSX to work. It was a nice sunny day and we're expecting rain and crappy weather this weekend, so I thought it was a good opportunity to bring it to work. I had forgotten about the Hooters event until an employee mentioned it to me. He wanted to go, so I invited him to go with me in the NSX.

We get there and it was really packed. They had the Hooters girls directing the parking effort and we parked on the grass in the lineup. I filled out the registration card with my name and car info and left it under the windshield wiper for a Hooter girl to collect. With all the amazing custom cars there, I certainly didn't expect to win anything.

We had a good time and I met up with a number of my friends. About midway through the evening, a friend came up to me and said that he just heard my name and car called out.

I go inside where they're giving out the prizes. They're handing out boxes of Tastykakes (a local treat) and they have a few small trophy cups (about 4 inches high) off the side. I figure I'm going to get a cake or a little trophy and I wait in line for the Hooter girl.

I give her my name and my car info and she smiles and reaches down below the counter and pulls out this huge trophy!

I'm kind of stunned and begin to walk away and then I realize I didn't even know why I won this. I ask her. She then tells me that my car won the "Hooters Girls Choice" award.

Doh!!! It was a fun night.

And.... what? Don't just leave us hangin man!

That was it...nothing else to report. (Keep in mind, Mrs. Jimbo occasionally reads this forum, Heheh).

Although this "win" wasn't on the order of a Cunningham victory but it was a "win" for us NSX aficiandos nonetheless.

Dude that rules! What color is your car? I think I need to paint mine.

Ok, ok, I'll confess that on occasion I have questioned the intellectual horsepower of the hooters girls. A vote for the NSX as best car, has, however, resolved any doubts I may have had.

C'mon, c'mon, SOMEBODY must have a great comeback to a remark like that...

Although I can't speak for all of the girls, one of them knew a fair amount the NSX (like the fact that I had the later seven spoke wheels on the car)!

I don't know what I would have done if she would have asked me if my car was in snap ring range.
