I'm going to order a set of plugs for my car. I have read all the info for early 90s NSXs so I just wanted to make sure I'm getting the correct plugs... Here's what I'm planning on buying for my 97:

NGK plug. Part number is: PFR6G-11

I checked with my local dealer.... they wanted $25 a plug (HA HA HA). I also was planning on replacing the fuel filter...they wanted $45 for that. Any idea what a fuel filter costs?

thanks

Those are not the ones for you:).

NGK P/N-------Year-----------OEM P/N

PFR6G-11---1991-1994----98079 - 5614H
PFR6N-11---1995-1996----98079 - 5617T
PFR6L-11---1997-2005----98079 - 5617S ($17.04 is List Price)

I would say you can get these for about $12 ea. w.NSXCA discount, and you may wish to go to www.sparkplugs.com (11.71ea. + shipping:)).

Fuel Filter 16010-SL0-505 $35.02 is List Price

I would call JR or Tim at www.hondacuraworld.com, 1-888-729-5257 (25% off List)

You can also order these from sparkplugs.com at $11.17 each

You might also want to try out the NGK Iridiums plugs $, they works great, ultra smooth.

Do not get the Denso Iridiums..

I just called my local NAPA autoparts, and they have them for 11.99. Then I called Kragen, they have them at 9.99 plus a 10% discount. This is for
PFR6G-11---1991-1994----98079 - 5614H

If you have a 97 you get a free tuneup at 75k w/ spark plug change per extended emmissions waranty for 95-97 by Honda.

what's the difference between spark plugs, from different years?

PFR6G-11---1991-1994----98079 - 5614H
PFR6N-11---1995-1996----98079 - 5617T
PFR6L-11---1997-2005----98079 - 5617S

In the NGK part number key the letter designated the "Firing End Construction". I cannot say I know exactly what it means, but a guess is it the tip construction. All plugs are the same heat range, reach, and Premium Platinum.
