I thought this page was fun...

hmmm... Very interesting linkie, thanks!

However, it sickened me to my stomach. I wonder how much of it is pork-barrel spending? How much of it is contract gouging by US Mutli-National Corportations? How much is for the poor & lackluster 'consulting' by the so-called "Experts"? How much is for the failed & nonexistent 'intelligence' by the deified "Govt' Agencies"? How much of it is for bloated contracts given to the spoiled Defence-sector Corp's? Has any infra-structure been created ANYWHERE? Have any capital goods been acquired? Has there been anything other than 'mysterious' services & costs?

The $79 billion already spent... I find no physical, discernable & observable signs of: nation building, creation of modern infra-structure, and restoration of a civilized society. The $87 billion further requested will more than likely be along the same lines aforementioned above. My fellow Americans, we are being swindled. [Fellow 'Primers, apology for previous use of inappropriate language! I wanted emphasis for once, on a particular topic. Not classy, to say the leasts. We all error at times, www.nsxprime.com! Mea Culpa.]

The post WWII Marshall Plan rebuilt two continents, recreated two World Powers (Germany & Japan), greatly aided other current continental powers (Great Britain, France, Italy, Western Europe, Phillipines, and South Korea & Taiwan later)... all while maintaining an imposing Armed forces globally and at home, so there really is no excuse as to why there is increasing monies spent w/o ANY tangible return.

"Responding to tough questions from senators in both parties, (Deputy Defense Secretary Paul D.) Wolfowitz acknowledged that, with war costs running about $4.5 billion a month, far more money will be needed next year than is now on the table. 'There will be a request for a full year supplemental early next year. It will sure be much larger than $25 billion,' he said."

Gosh, I just want to meet this character along w/ his crony Richard Perle and maybe a few others in a locked room w/ no windows.

Not a single person or company should be able to make money from the war unless they have an immediate family member at the front lines.

Poor families have their sons and daughters returned missing body parts while the wealthy make millions.

Imagine the goodwill that could/would ensue if that amount money was spend on humanitarian aid.

Imagine the corruption that would bleed that money long before it reached those in need. :D

Much like what is happening now with the money that is supposed to be paying for this war and the rebuilding of Iraq.
