LOL, reminds me of a similar story .... years ago my wife was driving home from a wedding at a small rural hall since I had a bit much to drink. Our car at the time had an electronic dash which could display metric (kilometers) or imperial (miles) at a push of a button. After a few miles she started to complain that the car was handling poorly and difficult to drive at the speed limit of 100 km. I looked over and discovered that the dash was displaying 102 MPH. It was dark and I was half asleep so I didn't notice anything until then ... scared the shit out of me. Didn't know that pontiac could go that fast.

as the recipient of a 134 in a 65 on I-94 (about 10 years ago as a college kid in my M3 on the way to Northern Wis). I can personally tell you it's more like $5000! Since that day I try to take it easy when I'm in the dairy state. :)

Dude...if your wife does not know the difference in feel between about 62 mph (100 kmh) and 102 mph, then I fear for all that are on the road with her.

Having had the similar situation happen, It is easy to see how someone not used to driving their spouses car could be fooled or confused with the instrumentation.
What is impressive, is the fact that they were driving the sh@t out of the cars and didn't even know it.
