If I'm not mistaken, Takashi Ooi was/still is the chief editor of all BM videos and an experienced avid track rat. He's actually pretty darn fast in his own right. If I'm not also mistaken, the Norschleife spin you were referring to between Eschbach and Brunnchen was found in the NSX Debut video released in 1990, not the NA1R special, which came out 3-4 years later. Both videos were never marketed outside Japan. I don't know if this is still possible, but you may still be able to special order a copy from Kinokuniya Bookstore if there's one in your neck of the woods, or try their website.
Yes, the DVD I was referring to was the Best Motoring original NSX debut video special. It looks old and outdated from the cover, but when I bought it, it turned out to be one of my favorites. Watching how well the original NSX moves through the Nordschleife in skilled hands is a real treat, and embarrasses the the folks who claim the stock suspension is not up to snuff. It is in stock at the local Mitsuwa/Kinokuniya in San Diego, for you San Diego folks.
I've been an Ohi fan ever since he introduced the Integra Type R to BM viewers in 1996 (and convinced me to buy one). I haven't seen the NA1 R video special, so I can't comment on whether there is a spin in there.
