BTW, what is a reasonalbe price for the 60,000 mile service? I have receipts from the previous owner that indicate that my '92 NSX w/ 68000 miles had the 60K service done. However, as I recall, the 60K service was something around $600-$700. Does that sound correct? It seems a little low for me, and I don't want to take any chances with my water pump and timing belt.

It should indicate details of parts and labor. Highly unlikely that the belt was done at that time for that price.

Is there any way to check to see if the full 60K service was completed (especially if the water pump and timing belt were replaced) without tearing the engine apart?

$600-700 is slightly low for a 60K service, but it's still plausible. This service usually runs $800-1000. Don't forget, you can check typical costs in the "Costs" section under the "Maintenance" heading in the FAQ on this website.

However, the 60K service does NOT include the timing belt or water pump replacement. The TB/WP are specified by the maintenance schedule (in your owner's manual or in the FAQ) to be replaced every 90K miles or six years, whichever comes first.

Unless you have evidence that the TB/WP were replaced - and I can assure you they were not part of your 60K service - then I would recommend that you have them done at this time.
