As a previous owner of an NSX, I’m a fan. I’m also president of a track organization in Northern California. We run at Infineon, Laguna Seca, Thunderhill and Buttonwillow.

We have not had an NSX at a track event in years. I understand that saving 50% will not entice anyone to track their car that isn’t into that sort of thing. However, I do hope that someone that is interested might as well go where they can save 50% as opposed to paying full price.

That’s why I’m offering a 50% discount to any NSX owner that is willing to join us at a track event this year. We have 3 events remaining (2 at Infineon and 1 at Thunderhill). We are a small private club with around 200 members. As this is an extremely low price, this offer is only available if space is available one week prior to the event. I can’t turn away people willing to pay full price in order to give someone a 50% discount (I’m a fan but not crazy). This would be for 2.5 hours of track time (as we are a 3 run group club). The discount price for Thunderhill is $95 and for Infineon is $138.

Being a fan of the NSX, I’m willing to do this deal but it requires that you drive the NSX. Simply owning one isn’t enough.

Our schedule can be found at: cfra.net

In order to receive the discount, drop me an email at: [email protected]

I'm interested but can't see your website yet. Will check it out when its back up.

Our apologies...

Saturday, September 10, 2011:
We are experiencing technical problems with our web host, preventing us from serving the CFRA web site at this time. We are working to figure it out now and hope to be back online by the end of the weekend.

How about 50% off for a non-NSX owner looking for an NSX currently? I promise when I make the switch over, I'll bring out the NSX.

Sorry but must be driving an NSX. There are a few other cars that I might consider that I have not seen at the track in the last 12 months:

Lambo (Had our first 458 at the track this month).
ZR1 (never seen one at a track - I mean the new one)
Ford GT
Boss 302 (new one)
New Camaro - Gen. 5
Audi R8 (the new NSX)

If you can bring one of the cars listed above, I'm open. Any questions, email me at: [email protected]

Hi,

I'm happy to announce that we do have a few who have written me and shown interest in the Infineon event. If you are still interested, please drop me a new note and I will get you started in the process. The price for 2.5 hours of track time will be $138. That is an unheard of price. Of course, tickets are limited on a first come first serve basis.

I can still accommodate you at Thunderhill for $99 if there is any interest let me know. However, all the emails I have received so far are for Infineon. As an interesting aside, we have an NSX registered for Thunderhill who doesn’t seem to be a Forum member so they didn’t ask about the discount. I’m not taking….

If you are interested in going forward, please send me an email at [email protected] - If you have any problems with email, you can call at 916-785-8743. Please visit cfra.net before you do either.

There is a password to register. I can publish it here because if I did, what’s the point of a password? We have a registration password because this is a private club and we are careful about who attends. That’s why in 17 years we have never had car to car contact in an HPDE session. I’m not looking to lose my perfect record.

As an aside, I made the same offer to the Pantera Club. It was my first mid-engine car (the NSX was my 2nd). They are sending 5 Panteras’ to Thunderhill. I don’t know the last time I’ve seen a Pantera on track!

Once again, I’m excited about seeing some NSXs show their stuff at Infineon. Please note we cannot accommodate any driver who has never driven on a road course before. Infineon is one of the most technical courses in the US (my personal favorite). We do welcome 1st time drivers at Thunderhill and Buttonwillow. Please note, I’m not saying that you must have driven Infineon before. I’m saying that you must have driven on some road course before. Those with less than 5 days of track time, are welcome to free instruction if you so choose.

I look forward to seeing you!

Hi,

I’m happy to announce that we have two NSX’s registered for Monday’s Thunderhill event. We also have a few interested in Infineon on November 20th. As we have reached our goal of enjoying an NSX at speed, we will not be extending the 50% offer for 2012. I can’t wait until Monday! We have the following mid-engine cars registered in Group “B” for Monday:

Pantera 4
NSX 2
430 1
Exige S 1
Elise 1
Esprit 1

That makes 9 of the 19 cars in “B” mid-engine. We also have a few other interesting cars in “B” for those of you who love sports cars as much as I do:

Boss 302 3
Alfa GTV 2

Not a bad group considering there are only 19 cars in the group! I hope to see a few more NSX’s in November. I still miss mine but thanks for letting me at least see and hear a few.

Hi,

Registration for the Sunday November 20th Sears Point event opens on Monday (10/24/11). If you are interested in a 50% discount, please send email to: [email protected]

As a note, we did have one NSX from NSX Prime at our Thunderhill event. A very nice car and a fast driver.
