B.S. B.S. This is nothing but B.S. I paint for a living and that paint job should not have cost more than $8000-$10000 and only if it was stripped down to bare metal. The Chromalusion paint is applied with a base of black and the Chromalusion color of choice on top. 3-5 coats of Chromalusion are all that are needed. then 3-5 coats of clear are sufficient for a sand and buff job. if they wanted to go one step further, after clearing they could have sanded the whole car with 400 or 600 and cleared again with 3 more coats. Then sand and buff for that show mirror finish. No way this is a $50k paint job.

Thats my 2 cents....

When he is in need of another paint job, sell him a discount one... $40,000! This could be very beneficial!:D :D :D

this is $50,000 american i gather so around $90,000 australian? Absolutely ludicrous! Someone got taken bad! Even in Oz a $10,000 paint job sounds extreme. If the respray prices have been included thats incredibly dodgy. Should have shopped around more :D

What do we know, maybe it's 50,000 pesos.

3-5 Coats is kinda heavy in the clear application.
DuPont suggests two medium-wet coats of clear.
You can find DuPont product information here: http://www.performancecoatings.dupont.com/
