3rd annual NSXPrime Canyon Drive!!! >>>Sunday, June 8th.

I've always said John & Tina (and the rest) know how to put on a well organized NSX drive. Thanks again!!! I'm looking forward already to next year's event! :)

(Still have to organize the pics. Just got home an hour ago. They'll be up soon. Got some nice ones again!)

Who could forget the infamous menu???

That was a typo that the manager made. I knew about it ahead of time, but didn't want him to have to print 72 more menus for us. The chef who helped him thought it was incorrect, but wasn't sure.;)

Great group of people, fantastic driving roads, and a nice day! What more could you ask for?? We went through 3 different counties, 4 different climate zones, and some fantastic, varied terrain! Big thanks goes out to John & Tina, Craig, and the rest of the “usual suspects” for making it all happen! Cant wait until next year!

Thank you John and Tina for organizing this "can't miss" event! I'm sure a lot of time has been dedicated to pull it off. The instruction from the lead cars, Ilya, Marc, and Craig, is always extremely informative. If it were for them, I'll still be searching for my way out in the mountains now.

The SD/OC/WLA caravan turned out excellent as well. We had around 25 cars arriving at the meeting point without problems.

During the drive, we kept talking about the autoX. What is the chance of another autoX before they shut down the airport?

Oh, one more thing. My call sign is CDub, not C-Cup. If I have a pair of C-cups on me, I won't need anybody. :D

That incredible meet!

That was unbelievable! One of the most amazing experiences I've ever had! And I want to thank Tantheman, again :D, for bringing me along and John, Tina, Craig, Ilya for setting this up. And also, all the other drivers/passengers for being so friendly and making me feel very @ home, especially since this was my first, but certainly not last, meet.

I don't even have the vocabulary to describe how impressed I was by the whole event.

Thanks again,

Adam

AutoX

CDub, I heard John saying there was a AutoX he was putting together in August at Hollywood Park. Sounds like a can't miss event.

Hey guys with my wits about me when I woke up refreshed today I realized that posting that menu could be taken the wrong way. My intent was to lightheartedly show how often non-NSX people refer to the car as the NXS, not to poke fun or imply a job was poorly done by anyone , and ESPECIALLY not by ANYTIME!!!

DVD of Canyon Run

The Canyon drive is in the books and it was great! Thanks go to John and Tina Richards for putting it all together, Ilya for the up front spotting-NO TICKETS. Craig K. and Marc W. for leading the pack, and everyone who donated gifts to the raffle. Can't wait for the next one.

SEND ME YOUR TAPES AND EMAIL ME YOUR PHOTOS!

John is already bugging me to edit the DVD and I can't edit unless I have the tapes!:p :p

Wow! Sign me up now...

From Black and Tan:
how often non-NSX people refer to the car as the NXS,...

On our way back to OC, we were following a Nissan NX blowing a little smoke in front of us.

I can see how a car can be transformed into a mid engine exotic by putting an S in the middle. Both were debuted in '91 too.

Marc-
Great quicktime on your post. I really like your cupholder/cell phone holder. Nice swing on that cell phone!

We were pulling some G's keeping up w/ that bike! :)

Would you like me to burn this clip on CD and send it to you for the DVD? If so, give me formatting specifics (im running Premier 6.01)

That cell phone thing is funny! I didn't see that the first time I looked.

Keeping up, Christ we almost ran that guy over! More than a few times I had to get on the brakes to stay back. he was leaning so far over I thought that he was going to loose it.

Marc if you have that whole leg on film I'd like it. Also the run up Decker prior to stopping at the Mulholland stop sign.

WHAT A KILLER DAY!!!!

Wow, what an incredible day. Me and my girlfreind had an AMAZING time. I am very impressed with the organization of the event as well as the road choices. Hats off to all of the organizers and volunteers!

It was very nice meeting everyone as well. Hello Craig, Frank, Dave, Jay, Tan, John, Dex (and his partner in the silver '00), and others... (sorry, I'm bad with names). Here's a few picks to get things started.

On a side note... Craig or Frank, please let me know when you go to any track events again. I would like to meet you out there with my car to get some pointers from you.

My favorite car would have to be Craig's black track killer!

Regards,
Ryan

AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME

Another AWESOME and SAFE event hosted by the "Anytime" crew! THANK YOU John, Tina, Ilya, Craig, Marc and everyone else involved in the careful planning of this event! Keri and I had a BLAST!

Thanks CDub/Chris for setting up the OC caravan!

We had such an incredible time meeting new people and seeing old friends!

Marc, that is an awesome animated GIF file. How was that done?

Eric, that's an awesome video clip! He was very lucky! I'm glad that everyone made it through the day safely.

NSX-Ster, I also have an in-car video. It will take me awhile to go through them as well.

I CAN'T WAIT UNTIL NEXT YEAR!!!

P.S. I still can't get over Keri getting marks/blisters from holding the "oh $#!+" handle. :D (I have pics!)

Re: Most excellent

Wow, I didn't know that happen.

Sooooooooooo lucky.

Odd how right when it happen someone on the radio mentioned the rocks in the middle of the road.

Thanks John, Craig, lead cars and follow cars, Ilya and everyone else for an AWESOME event.

I tell everyone about it and I can't wait to develop pictures.

Loved the roads we took and what an amazing Western Burger we had.

Anyone up for an OC Ortega run soon?????

If you haven't seen this yet, download the MPG (mpeg 1 ~ 2MB) clip I posted in another thread...just something to get you guys and gals excited about the video (NOTE: This video was shot 16x9...and appears to playback vertically stretched)

I was with the front pack (3rd car in line on a few legs... I don't know if I was 3rd in this particular leg... maybe 6th). But we received plenty of warning about the gravel on the road. Ilya was great in providing us information about road conditions ahead! THANKS AGAIN ILYA.

The warnings you heard while he was in a spin were just drivers repeating the warning in case they didn't hear it because of the fairly short radio range. (Considering the long line of cars we had.)

Re: qtime

Sending you today 2+GB of hi-res .AVI clips for the DVD including this scene. Cant wait to see the finished DVD. Should be awesome!

Man, I've been sooo busy, I haven't had time to respond to any of the threads...

I just wanted to say thanks to all the organizers of the event!

and to Marc and Craig, thanks for giving me a 'fun and educational' beginner's driving course, all be it, I was slipping and sliding for bit...

I hope I didn't piss anyone off with my driving style on hwy 101.

I think I followed much too closely, I counted 50+ new rock chips on my paint! (OUCH!) but no regrets...still had a blast.

It was very nice to finally meet some faces, and for the others that I didn't get to meet, there will always be a next time.

I was so proud of my passenger, she didn't whine or get sick at all! ha ha ha
