350z's nearing $10K...fun to play with?

For this year we have decided to bite the bullit and me together with my best friend will enter the European MaX5 cup and are almost finished building our own MX-5 racer. Intended mainly to have a lot of fun and hopefully bring some fun and laughs into this serious event. And who knows, perhaps we may even be able to be a bit competative too...

Our team name: SmurfRacing :wink::biggrin:

Wow, very cool, I love the last picture...hahaha! ok I stand corrected since I have absolutely no experience with Miata's so I guess it was a mis-placed stereotype on my part. Guess I should go find some time to track a Miata!

Actually I love all cars, just no garage space to store them!

You will have to wait and see the Smurf stickering when finished :rolleyes:

Also have a little 2" stoneage Smurf with car (like Flintstone) that we intend to put on the front as hood ornament (if officials will allow it, not preceving it to be a dangerous extention) :tongue: :biggrin:

Sadly when attempting aligning and cornerweighting the car last week (when the pics were made), it turned out some of the camberbolts were rusted stuck and one broke. This prevented us to do a shakedown on a trackday last saturday to test the car for the first time on the track.
We will have to hurry finishing and testing things as first race is in 4 weeks from now...

I think the 350z's are fun cars. I have owned an S2000, NSX, 350z, and now a 370z. I definitely wouldn't say it is a better car than the NSX. Also, with the NSX, you get a lot more attention, which can be good or bad. The 350z fits right in, has a decent amount of power, and is, imo, a better daily driver (Assuming that it is your dd). Also, mods on the Z was a lot cheaper than the NSX. All in all, I think the Z is a great car to play around with.
