The dealer told me you get two model cars specced like your vehicle one small one large. How long after purchase did you guys get them? Also any other cool stuff invitations to driving events etc?

Did you ask for or get the white delivery car cover? I forgot to ask when I was buying and when I called back the mgr said my car was trucked in and no cover/wrapper. Oh well, car is still at the dealer I have no room until next week. Better finish putting my car 91 nsx back together or make a big dent at it this weekend

The delivery cover is not something you get

The model comes about a month after delivery

The email about your build video is more random

The CF money clip may be 3 or 6 months

I just passed a year and I believe there is something associated with that milestone

Theres 2 models right? Also isn't there a build sheet? Im wondering if the dealer has my build sheet and the first small model since my car was a floor model..... or if those are mailed to you.

Thank you for the response I appreciate it.

You know I pulled that white cover out of the trunk at the dealer and they told me I didn't get to keep that. Wonder what was up with that.

Delivery process was changed a few times from day 1.

They used to have a cardboard cover over the center tunnel and then led to leather creasing and was eliminated.

Domestic deliveries had no car cover from the factory. Then Pilot effed up some cars some how, and the covers (similar to Audi uses) were added. They go back to the factory for re-use.

yes, dealer should have the build sheet. it gets sent to them before the car arrives at the store.

I had about 20 mins to kill and went back to visit my car at the dealer as I was next door. Mgr told me space truckin was asking for $60k off too and I hope you get it. She mentioned that I would get the build sheet sent to me directly (without me even asking or even caring about it), 1 identical to my car model sent to me (but I hope I get 2 of them which includes the small model), and she mentioned that I would get a trip to ohio for track day at the plant. I said I'm not driving my car there for track day but she said we drive provided nsx cars so lets see how that goes. Hope that includes airfare. If I get that it would be cool, never got an offer like that from porsche (just swag bags and free food), but Lambo offers that. Mclaren offers have been bring your own car but not free test drives @ track. Some free meals in Malibu but who has time to kill a day for free food

They told me nothing about a trip to Ohio but I am definitely going to be calling them on Monday about that, I will also ask about the build sheet but i just want both model cars. Appreciate your posts and thank you for answering my questions.

On the Space trucking thing she wasn't even close to $60k. I hate it when dealers play games like that hopefully he will get his deal (don't know if you could put in a word) Acura dealers love getting you in then switching the numbers you gotta watch them.

The first and only time I have ever driven the demo (now my car) was in June. It was full MSRP or maybe $10k off back then I don't really recall. No call back, nada until about 3-4 weeks ago when Veronica the mgr said she could do $30k off. Ok, still not buying but Ill come back in since I am next door to the dealer every Saturday. After I see the post from The Kid I walk into the dealership and she shows me # and it was $41.5k off. That was last Sat, I still didn't really care. By Tuesday without prompting she kept countering herself and was at $48k (I love it when people counter themselves, I smell weakness). Now we are getting somewhere so that's when I went in around 5pm (after my daughters art class and because piano got cancelled) to fill out an application. I casually mention $60k off would be nice as nsxprime had people posting seeing deals approaching that # (I think that was you?) so I had a $ target to hit otherwise I would never have known what to ask for. I figure no one gives you their best or bottom line until they know you are ready and able to perform. Was approved by maybe 1pm wed. Veronica called and left a voicemail but just saying to call her back not that I was approved or not approved. I just left it at that but was already emailing several local dealers to shop her $48k off msrp offer. No one else even came close. Elk Grove was the 2nd best I could find $42.5k off on a blue 183k car. As Veronica started texting me I told her I was shopping her $48k discount offer and thats when she said $54k, lets meet in the middle. I said I'll keep looking as I don't care for black unless I get $60k off and within mins she said come on in. I was thinking the $60k off wasn't going to be real until I finally signed the paperwork. I didn't even have enough time to do a comparison and evaluate on lease vs buy and I figured I could live with all of the amounts and didn't want to lose the deal since the NSX all of a sudden became a hot commodity. Crazy what the dealers will say to justify their pricing. Cerritos was saying they could do $36k off on a 206.5k blue car and did I really want to buy 400 miles away to save $6.5k (ugh, yes I do and I told them I have an office in that area I haven't visited in years). Mission Viejo was the most difficult (although the call the next day said they would match the offer I had on the table but they didnt say the amount (my email to them was about the $48k off)) as they told me their loaded blue car was $30k off but had a market adjustment of $9999 upwards due to demand. I couldn't get off the phone with them fast enough. How do you tell me you have a $30k discount but mark up $10k due to demand. The White car at south bay autonation Veronica told me she could do $35k off after I had bought the black car. I figured she wasn't going to give me her bottom line since I was no longer a buyer but could hurt their profitability by posting on nsxprime. She asked me not to blog or post about the $60k off so they wouldn't get in trouble but I never agreed on any of that. I'm very happy with my deal but always wonder on every deal how much more I could have squeezed out just so I can improve on my next negotiations. I do that on real estate as well, I tell agents go back and ask for x amount knowing that i'm still going to buy no matter what even if they come back with a $0 counter-offer. If I'm already in the deal I'm already getting a good deal as compared to the market at that moment. Just as with this car purchase, long term who knows but I can only make a decision based on the present.

The Blue NSX from Napletons Acura in Palm Beach is sitting in my garage tonight. I still can't believe it.

The trip to PMC is paid for by the buyer unless you negotiated that into the deal. It is not automatically included by Acura.

Ok thx I get the feeling no one @ the dealers knows jack about selling an nsx. Even their NSX specialist/ambassador (or whatever his title is) told me to bear with him as he had never delivered an NSX before. I guess I won't be going as there is no way I'm paying for that. I won't even go to the Porsche Experience Track about 1/2 mile from an office I have because I think it's a rip off. I"ve already had/have the cars I would want to drive there so why pay that much $. I live right next to some nice switch backs so all I have to do is make a right turn at the stop sign if I want to have some fun (See https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RWQ-dnpplaA starting at 1:20 is where I live)
