2nd Austin NSX Meet - 11/22/03 and 11/23/03

wow this is going to be awesome! How many NSX's and S2k' is that. btw, ojas - got ur pm. Thanx

Hey guys:

I will almost certainly have an open seat for a navigator (remember Jeff Spiccoli - "I drive, you navigate"). However, I will probably have to leave from the dam after pictures and miss the last meeting spot. I'll see you guys at MOT!

Todd

Hey guys,
Paul and I will be bringing our handheld Radios. Just thought I would pass this information on. If you have one also, you may want to bring it. It will help us communicate easier than calling everyones cell phone. ;) "OVER" :D
Regards
Z

Wow, I beat everyone from the meet to NSX Prime!! :D Talk about getting home fast! ;)
And what can I say? The Austin meet was a success! 4 hours later and I still have a smile on my face. It was so great to be able to put faces with the screen names. It was truely a pleasure meeting all of you. On the drive home, Paul and I were talking on the cell. phones about doing this again. Just AWESOME! Thanks for having us and a special thanks to Ojas and Burbel for organizing the drive.
Best Regards
Z

nice cars - huge turnout - perfect weather... What a blast!

Between all the cameras, we must have taken several hundred pictures :) I'll post my pictures, videos, and write-up after tomorrow's activites. Until then, here's a group shot:

I second the thanks to Ojas and Burbel - this was a very fun day.

BTW, I was reviewing my video when I got home, and I actually got video of the airplane crashing into Chris' car! I didn't realize I had it until I rewound it and watched it twice - it's sort of like the Zapruder film!

If I can figure out how to post video, I'll get it up tomorrow along with pictures.

Great to meet everyone!

Todd

Austin Pics

Here are a few pics from our get together yesterday in Austin - no captions necessary. I'm still trying to figure out how to upload video - if anyone has any ideas, let me know and I'll post the airplane crash.

And finally...unfortunately, a model airplane came crashing down from the heavens, dircetly on Chris' beautiful black NSX, and then ricocheted on to mine. Luckily, Chris is an expert painter - but still, a pretty crappy incident altogether. I'm sure the airplane owner soiled his shorts when he lost control and saw his plane heading towards a lineup of 12 exotic cars. Here's the result on the rear wing:

Thanks again to everyone for showing up - hopefully we can do it again soon. I know I saw a lot of incredible cars and got some good ideas about what I would like to do to mine in the future...starting with painting the calipers (thanks Paul) and checking out the Flowmaster setup (thanks Z...it sounded awesome!)

Cheers!

Todd

WOW!

That is a great turnout. I really tried to make this event, but I just had too much to do.

I hope you guys decide to get together again. I would love to see the pretty lake and drive around Austin's hill country.

We finished up the second part of the meet today at RPM with some go-kart racing. We had 8 people show up so we got a great deal on 4 - eight minute sessions. I think we all had a great time. Thanks to burbel and ojas for organizing an awsome event. Afterwards burbel, his brother, and I went to chipotle for some lunch and briefly discussed planning another meet when everyone gets settled down after the holidays. I can't wait!!

Holy Crap that was a huge turn out!

Looks like it was ton of NSX Fun! Great panoramic view Ojas. I'll be eagerly awaiting the pics :D I bet you guys n gals got a bunch of gawking with that massive line of cars.

Had a great time guys...sorry had to leave early but had a wedding at 5 in Georgetown.

Got a bunch of pics but here are a few.

Again - I had a great time. The turn out was way better than I think any of us expected. Thanks to all the folks that made the trip to Austin: Paul and Z (from Houston); Todd, Chris, Bob (from San Antonio-area); NSXLuvr (all the way from Tyler); Gil (from Copperas Cove). It was also cool of Deep to join us.

Mark, We wish you could have made it. I hope your NSX is doing better.

Look at Z's drop. Paul and Gil also had some seriously slammed NSXs.

Ojas and Burbel – Thanks so much for organizing this event! It was very well planned. All the parking lots had plenty of space so we could all park together, maps were handed out to everyone who needed one (they were even printed in color), there were three lead cars (Austin guys) who were each responsible for 4 or 5 others, etc. I also appreciate the time you put into the website and the itinerary. A big THANK YOU for you guys!

To ALL – My wife and I enjoyed meeting everyone and look forward to the next one…(hint, hint)…maybe late January or February?

If any of you guys that I met need me to help you slam your cars too, shoot me a PM. We are always looking for a reason to have an install party here in Houston. :D

PS my wife shot some good footage of the cars that were around us.

Regards, Paul
