well folks i am ready to order my 2018 nsx, just need to know from you people what color i should get . i have it down to two colors white or black which do you think would be better? thank you.

It's all personal preference, go with your heart.

That being said, I ended up with Casino White Pearl, I personally like it a lot better than the 140R white. Seeing them both in person, I was surprised at how much better the Casino looked to me. There's nothing sexier than a clean black car, though, but they are true labors of love and are a constant effort to keep clean and show flaws and swirl marks rather easily. My first NSX was black and I loved it, but getting a coat of dust on it (I live in the desert southwest) within a half hour of washing it was frustrating. The newer ceramic coatings and paint protection films may make the upkeep a lot easier than it was for me back in the day.

That was just me, you truly cannot lose with whatever color you pick. All of them are great and with a gorgeous canvas to paint them on they'll all look amazing.

curious why you would order a new car when there are plenty of lightly used/dealer cars sitting ...average prices seem to be around 140k

the ones i look at don't have the polished wheels and iron brakes also they don't have the black leather seats and most of them have a lot of miles on them.

haha you are Acuras wet dream......best of luck with the purchase..let us know how it goes.

I am biased, but I have a white car, and I think the white shows off the cars lines well. Same could likely be said for Casino and silver....... Personally, I've just never been a black car kind of guy...... I like red and blue too.......

And BTW, iron caliper cars are rare. Not many built. Someone posted a chart showing options ordered, and iron brakes were a very small percentage...... But if you searched, you could find one used. But, with the recent renewal of the $20K rebate, and the ability to not add too much carbon fiber fluff and other options, you might be able to buy a new 2018 NSX under $150K.... Good luck!!

Unless you have already secured a spot for an order you will not be able to order. Orders are fulled through September which is the last month of production for 2018.

thank you very much for the info on ordering. i guess it will have to be a 2019 nsx.

I've been told that it will have visual changes and new color options but that "it's the same car". We were told we could place an order for a 2019 to reserve our spot in the production line for a client I was working with however he did not want to do that until he knew what the car looked like and what the changes were. When I asked for more details I was told we will know soon.

a dealership in MO will be having a new 2018 white nsx coming with iron brakes coming for 160k. that is also before the 20k acura cash. so 140k and you have i'm sure some room to negotiate. The sales manager i was speaking to said it should be arriving mid august.

The aero on this car sucks road dirt up and it sticks to the backside. One drive after a wash and it's covered. Even with ceramic coating my blue one shows the dirt on the back always. Just an FYI. If you love black, get it. I wouldn't trade the blue for anything and I don't mind washing it frequently.

My white car collects a black residue on the back end from the very beginning, and I would suggest that it is carbon from the exhaust. The tail pipes are coal black..... Which suggest an over rich mixture. It likely has something to do with airflow over the car, and there may be a low pressure area over the back of the car that sucks the exhaust back over the back end?? Why it sticks like that I do not know, but it is a bit irritating. You can wash the car, then take it out for a quick ride and come back in and the soot is there already..... Not the end of the world, but scratching my head a bit......

Is this any worse than on the first gen NSX? Dust collects quickly on the top surface of the rear bumper on my 1995 NSX.

In my experience, it's worse on the 1st gen by far. I get dust on the back end of my NC1, but it's nowhere near as bad.

I have no spoiler and that back end gets covered in dirt and dust...oh..and Valencia red is the answer.
