Very interesting article. Something a bit telling... With the entire hybrid system stripped out AND a full CF shell it's still 2900lbs. I think a full CF tub chassis would have been the game changer. Normally i'd say that would put costs to the moon but if Alfa can do it why not Acura... They must have spent a ton developing the hybrid - just speculation on my part.
What's also interesting is they are using the stock steering box.
Congrats to the team for a strong showing the last race. They did better than what the results suggests IMO.
considering it's a race car with a stripped interior I was waiting to read they suffered weight penalties and carrying some lead bars in the back. No such thing
