Wheels look different too.
i think acura needs to push much harder to revive the brand... it looked very standard current gen-acura to me. imho of course.
Why won't Honda make this and actually sell it:

It sounds amazing and looks sooooo good (IMO)
I would take the Lexus LS460L over this one any day.
Are they in the same price range with similar options? I don't have a great desire to own an LS460 but I've driven several and admire the car. It executes its objectives near flawlessly. Fantastic for long highway drives and probably the most reliable drive train available today.
Not to threadcrap too much, but you might be the only one looking at the sales figures in recent years. Haven't seen a 09+ RL on the streets to date, now I know why.

When I was doing the research on a luxury sedan I found out many LS460 owners complaint about wind noise on highway speed. Did you notice any wind noise when driving the car? I haven't tested the LS460 myself, however the LS400 and LS430 I drove were nice and quiet.
Naaman,
You are so right. The earlier versions of the 2G RL were way better looking than those from 2009-on. You think the numbers alone would have told Acura execs that they failed. Yet as was stated multiple times on this board, Acura seems to be following their abject failures with a heavy dose of arrogance. I believe there is another post somewhere on Prime discussing how one of the designers has an ambivalent and condescending tone towards the customers regarding the lamented beak that they seem to keep pushing on their customers.
Honestly, I believe that if Honda/Acura were to acknoledge that they failed in their design people would forgive and forget. Unfortunately, they persist for some unknown reason behaving like a tempermental prima donna. Sadly, Honda/Acura may not actually come to terms with their mishap until those who truly can and want to buy their products move onto other manufacturer's offerings that are way more attractive. By then, it maybe too late for Honda.
Whomever thought it was a good idea to put a whiny man's voice in that video should be shot on the spot. Actually, Honda's entire marketing team should go too.
I want to poke my ears out with an ice pick
