2011 Trans am

My brown 79 had an Olds 403 and racked up 175k HARD miles before I spun a rod bearing racing a buddy's Buick Grand National.

Lol...Jesus...it's 1986 all over again. I had an '85 Mustang Gt (In 1992)...that's as close as I got to that generation of american muscle...but I was born in the mid 70's, so I missed the cool cars.

It doesn't help that they put his image in the pic.

I hope you guys aren't buying this. GM has no plans for a new Firebird/Trans Am and even if they did they'd probably have a better "concept picture" than a sad C6 Corvette/Camaro Concept amalgamation that looks like it was thrown together in four minutes by an eight year old.

This pic framed is available to the first 15,000 buyers!!!!!!

The Grand National is a beast...lol. 1987 GNX is a hell of a car. 0-60 in 4.7 sec bone stock  No stock Olds 403 is gonna beat that!
For less than $5000.00 you can shave a full second off that time for the GNX....

Yes, they're cool cars indeed. A turbo's potential can never be underestimated...

I'd definitely have one in my collection if I had that kind of space.

Fastest mass-produced car in the world in 1987. Even faster than the Vette. (Rumor has it that's why it was killed)

even though i share his last name, a pic of naked burt is just wrong.....but yet......i can't avert my eyes.........................nah yes i can:redface:

I actually like the camaro (in the new transformers movie)concept though. 10-4 big buddy, convoy!

It's too bad GM fell to pieces 15 years ago. There are way too many good options in the $25k price range. The Camaro/TA will be a total flop. Too little too late GM.

Here's a couple of my old ones.

And the Screaming Chicken is a timeless classic!!

Damn right! My 1979 Trans-Am kicked some serious SCCA Solo 1 and GT1 ass back in its day. It was modded with all the Herb Adams suspension goodies and Nunzi Romano in Brooklyn did the engine work. I still miss that car. It came with the WS-6 package, Pontiac 400ci motor and Borg warner Super T-10 4 speed tranny.

Another example of why GM stock is down 50% for the year. My bet is they'll be out of business in 5 years.

I bet you are wrong. GM and companies dependent of GM or part of GM are 1% of our National Economy. Thats right - National economy. The Govt. will never let that happen. Plus - they are making better products lately. The new cobalt is better. The new Impala is a step up. The GM 900 series(suburbans, Tahoe, 1/2 trucks) are vastly superior. Sure they aren't at Honda quailty but they are turning it around. We were shopping of a SUV and bought a Denali XL over a the new Sequoia. The last time I bought a GM product was 1981. That should tell you something.

As long as we are showing our old ones  :
