I just saw these at Jalopnik -- first pics of the the new NSX!! Holy crap, they're actually building it! It'll be interesting to see how the new layout performs. Can't manage to save the other pics for some reason (probably java shenanigans) but this one is there for the taking

Welcome to the board. And btw, your first post is a repost.

The nsx used to be the Japanese supercar, and I wouldn't sell mine for anything in the world, but the new style if it is the new nsx or whatever it will be called is hidious. If this is the new car, I feel that the skyline gt-r will be the new Japanese supercar, if Acura produces this car shown in the pictures. As I have always stated I feel that Acura should have really considered DETLEF (Procars) prototype drawing on how the new nsx should look like. Frank

repost or not...I saw that one the first time, and Holy crap, it looks ugly, igit!

OK, just looked at the images and a few observations...

1. the claimed V10 must be a very compact unit to be packaged it what appears to be a small(ish) coupe ... maybe some real F1 learning applied?
2. looking at the rear I think there may be a 'nod' to the NSX in terms of an intergrated rear spoiler like the original
3. it obviously isnt an NSX replacement, we've known this for some time
4. from the images it suggests that this will still be a low car ... one thing I always note about the NSX is just how low the overall bodyline is even next to other sports cars
5. rims appear to be matched diameter
6. the +2 packaging will be interesting - rumours suggest useable rear seats and luggage space in line with original design goals of current car

Other questions will be

a. what price will they pitch at ... GTR money would be good but IMO
b. model options, will there be both manual & DSG (style) auto, and will there be a properly stripped and worldwide available Type R
c. is it running the rumoured AWD system - this would be a real plus IMO as it would surely be close to GTR in performance and pose real threat to likes of 911, AMV8 and forthcoming baby F car

I wouldn't be looking to replace my NSX, its not an NSX and will be a very different car, but would love to be in a position to run both

regards, Paul

if that is the next nsx...everyone, save your money and go buy a 95 Twin Turbo supra and do a Lexus IS frontend conversion. Acura needs to fire all their current designers working on this project and bring in a new group with an understanding of what the word "EXOTIC" means.

Not a bad idea......It would kick ass on the shit coming out of Honda these days......Damn the NSX was cutting edge in 1990.I know prototype. Now they wait 5 years and just copy nissan and add some stupid looking tailpipes!!! Looks like they did there design study ay Pepboys!!!

I mean has anyone noticed the stuff coming out from Saleen? or hell even Hundaie? think i spelt that wrong but you get the point.....:frown:

One more thing Honda!!!! put the damn motor in the middle or rear but not in the front. If I wanted front engine, I would go toyota supra, anyday!!!!

Looks like a chevy z06  And thats the last thing i want to see . :frown:
