2006 Official Mt Baker Drive - Aug 20th, Sunday

Weather is looking good for next Sunday - blue skies and 80 degrees. Anybody else out there that wants to go - sign up now.

I would be up for dinner, might be easier if we selected somewhere off I-5 like Red Robin in Mount Vernon or the Tulalip Casino (the buffet) in Marysville. Both have ample parking and lots of food choices. Any other suggestions?

No offense: Tulalip Casino Buffet are not really that great and it's not just my opinion ( many of my friends too) Just a heads up.

I'm planning to be there, hopefully my nsx will not have any problem.

My car's not going to be able to attend, but I still will. I'll still chip in my $10, too :)

I'm having trouble with the fuel maps, it's running too rich, and i don't want to drive it hard until i can get back on a dyno and re-tune the AFC. I should have known better than to change anything two weeks before a drive...

Well as of late Wednesday night we have confirmation of at least 2 Ferraris that are coming along on the drive, hopefully we see a few more. The weather forecast keeps getting better for Sunday's Drive (mid-80's). I have updated the list of attendees and we are now up to 32+ vehicles. Looking forward to this.

Lol..won't they be suprised when they see us all there....bet they'll be happy when we open the doors to the place.

I was not aware of this BWM BC Club drive, I will try to contact the event coordinator and invite them with us as long as they contribute the $10.00/vehicle.

Note: John wishes to meet us at the Northbound I-5 Marysville rest stop, so if there are any others that live in the north end (Lynnwood/Everett) just meet us at the Northbound I-5 rest stop north of Marysville at 8:00-8:15am. We'll see you there.

thanks for the invitation, I'm not sure where we would be by 4:30pm. I could ask people if they will be interested to check out some TL and TSX and I supposed we should be able to stop by and meet you guys.

it's kind of late to organize right now, but please let me know by 7am tomorrow, (where at bellevue?, time.) so I can spread the news around.

My wife had a TL too, so I would like to meet you guys, personally.

Dean thanks so much for organizing this! I had a great time

It was great meeting you all!

I thought the dude driving the Ferrari was cool he seemed nice enough but I guess I didn't see his crazy driving antics with running people off the road etc...

Thanks Dean for the well organized drive, IMO, we are doing better than last 2 years. Please don't blame him for inviting Ferrari guys, I guessed Dean wouldn't know the Black meanace. And I had met Ferrari owners who's maybe 100x better driver than he is and way nicer (and behave).

I really don't understand the reason he's joining us, what does he try to prove? Does he try to make some friends? When we all having lunch, I can only see he's talking to the guy who owned the Testerosa and ignoring everyone. Hopefully next year, we will have more "responsible" Ferrari owners joining us. Just to prove that they aren't the jackass who representing them today.

BTW, Dean, I'm sorry that I still forgot to pay you the $20. It's in my jean's pocket but when we got to Factoria, I was just so dis-oriented and forgot again. For some weird reason, I lost my voice when I was halfway returning home.

nice to meet u guyz at factoria! awesome rides!! one day... ill buy a NSX.. hahaha

ill come out to your other meets  sux the ferrari guyz where giving everyone a hard time..

Great drive, thanks Dean! Thanks for laying on the cool helicopter show.
I found myself at the back at one point and over took 2 or 3 cars to get back nearer the middle of the pack because I did not know the way and I did not want to drop off the back and get lost. I did it on a long straight stretch and I got around pretty quick (black NSX) but I was a bit embarrassed that people would think I was being a jerk because everyone was so well behaved. I guess it helped that the Black Menace was getting most of the attention.
I too saw him overtaking on blind curves more than once and said to my wife “ That’s just stupid” Shame coz it’s nice to see cool cars like that join us.

Regards,

Patrick
